hey there! as you may have noticed, it's been a hot second since i last updated. as in, several years—my last update was aug 10, 2021, which was *checks notes* 1,063 days. that's a long time! if you're reading this, congratulations on sticking around all this time.
to put it simply, all our broken skies is discontinued. i would have to reread pjo, hoo, and kotlc in order to write more, and i...do not feel like doing that.
however!! i do have all of my notes from when i wrote this, and there was a rewrite planned at one point. i have a preface and the entire outline, which are close to 2,000 words altogether. continue reading if you'd like to see that!
if not, i thank you for reading this far. all the comments over the years have meant so, so much to me. <3
if you have any questions/comments, feel free to leave them! i'll do my best to answer in a timely manner. :)

prelude
There's no time to run. Sophie's not sure she would if she could.
She stares into a cold, vacant gaze.
Her amnesia could never make her forget those eyes, that face.
He doesn't blink. There's no sign of recognition.
Sophie's head pounds. Her throat is dry.
After everything she's done, after everything she's learned, after everything, everything, everything—it ends like this?
No. No.
She doesn't even remember his name.
"Scared, little Moonlark?"
Yes. Maybe. She doesn't know. Her skull feels like its about to implode.
A tear slips down her cheek.
"You shouldn't be."
Sophie feels like vomiting. Her legs can barely hold her. She teeters on the edge of fainting.
She needs to ask his name. She didn't recognize the others, but him—him, she does.
Why? Why does the face of her enemy mean so much to her?
Her head throbs.
"After all, there's no reason to worry."
And with those achingly familiar words, her mind splinters into a thousand pieces.

plot
[[a/n: if you don't remember, this story features canon divergence as of nightfall and the blood of olympus. the plot outline used is "save the cat."]]
- sophie was assumed to be fifteen when she woke up with amnesia. (she was actually fourteen, shortly post-nightfall.) it's been almost two years since then, so sophie's "seventeenth" birthday is coming up.
- after her amnesia was established, sophie has been living with a woman named julia rowan who is in her late thirties. julia is a slender blonde woman with turquoise eyes. she bears a surprising resemblance to the late jolie ruewen (and may or may not be her, without any memories; this remains ambiguous). she is a high school art teacher.
- the story takes place in the summer, as is typical of pjo/hoo. julia teaches both private and public art lessons, hence her absence during the day.
- at the end of nightfall, keefe was captured by his mother. sophie and linh had to stop the flooding of atlantis themselves. a few weeks later, sophie received a coded message to come to a human city; she did and found keefe. he proceeded to knock her unconscious.
