Summer of 1899(or how it should have gone)

chapter 7

TW/ Aberforth uses very vulgar words to talk to Albus calling him the F-Slur I do not condone the use of this word and I do not use it in my day-to-day life. It will be censored but if you know what it means you know what I mean to write.

Albus watched as Gellert snuggled back up into his bed and smiled. He remembered a similar scenario the last time they were together, they were two years younger and all they did was lay in bed talking about random stuff, but Albus had his headboy duties to attend to so he had to leave the boy by himself in his bed.

Anyway, Albus walked out of the house on the familiar path to his workplace.

He stepped inside to the strong smell of food and drink, to see Veronica at the bar and Michael serving food and cleaning up the messes that were being made.

"Ronnieeee~" Albus called out leaning on the bar waiting to be served by his work mate.

Veronica blushed slightly recognising the voice and turned with an annoyed huff. "Bumblebee" she said with a grunt. He laughed which made her blush even harder. "He's so pretty" Albus raised an eyebrow to the thought of his work mate liking him. "I need two meals, finest quality you have please m'lady" he said slapping down two 2 shillings. "Take the rest out of my next pay?" He said realising he doesn't have enough on him. Veronica laughed at him and turned to the back of the pub and shouted "Pretty boy wants two pretty meals!".

"Pretty boy?" Albus thought to himself. Veronica did a scan of him and her eyes widened.

"You haven't been seeing that Gracie girl again have you Albus?!" She asked sternly grabbing at Albus' collar. Albus realised what she'd seen. "No no, it's not her this time, we split up during my final year at school" Albus said raising his hands in defence. "Then who?".

"Ssssssecret" Albus said with a wink. "Oh Aberforth wanted me to give you this, I was meant to give it to you last night, thought I'd deliver it today though" Albus pulled out a package from his pocket which looked to big to be in his pocket without it looking obvious. "Don't open it in here though, said it was a secret between the two of you?". He watched Veronica look confused. "I think he likes you, don't tell him I said anything though" Veronica looked slightly repulsed but the thought of someone liking her made her heart flip, Albus could tell.

"Oh those meals, to go or to eat in here?" Veronica asked all business like all of a sudden. "Boxed please darling, oh and uhm buy yourself something pretty" he pulled more money out of nowhere, but it wasn't Muggle money, Veronica knew about the existence of Witches and Wizards, her little brother was accepted into Hogwarts when Albus was in his final year. "I'll see if Aberforth will arrange a trip to Diagon Alley" Albus smiled as he took the boxes off the flustered girl and walked back to Bathildas house. But as he got to the gate, Aberforth was stood in the front garden with his goats.

"OI F*GG*T!" Albus stopped in his tracks whispering a spell under his breath to make the food to go to Gellerts room. "Hello darling goat fucker brother of mine" Albus said with a sigh. "He do that to you?" Aberforth asked nodding to Albus, he knew his brother knew he was talking about the mark on Albus' neck.

"None of your business, don't want to talk about my sex life with my little brother" Albus said leaning against the gate. "Ariana wanted to play with you earlier, but you weren't home" Aberforth said.

"Is bubba home?" Ariana's voice came from the doorway she was in her pajamas and holding a stuffed lamb their father had bought her, her head still decorated with the flower crown Gellert made for her. "Bubba will be home tomorrow Ari, why don't you go back to sleep?" Albus said.

"I want a bedtime story bubba" Ariana said walking out of the house. "Okay but a quick one, I've got food waiting for me at Miss Bagshots house" Albus said kissing Ariana's hair.

"Hello" Ariana said looking over Albus' shoulder.

Albus turned around and jumped in surprise, he doesn't get snuck up on usually, he hears their thoughts before hand. "GELLERT! fuck you scared me".

"Language" Aberforth grumbled. Aberforth didn't like Gellert he despised how he distracted Albus, he did during the Triwizard Tournament.

"I thought you'd be coming back by now" he said wrapping his arms around Albus pouting like a baby. The ginger laughed at his antics. "My sister wants a story, I'll be back in a minute I promise".

"Disgusting" Aberforth said which earned him a grunt from Gellert, who despite Albus not being able to read the mind of, was obviously agitated by. "I know, you and that goat really make me want to be sick" Ariana said clipping the back of his head, she had to stand on her toes to do so.

Albus chuckled at his little sister who didn't usually engage in such teasing against Aberforth.  Ariana's little jab at Aberforth got a laugh out of Gellert as well which made Albus blush slightly.

"Are you two like mummy's and daddy's Bubba?" Ariana asked curiosity taking over as she watched the way the two of them behaved around each other. It was different to how they behaved only a day ago with each other. "Curiousity killed the cat Ari dear" Albus said smiling at his sister.

"I don't want a bedtime story now, I am too tired" Ariana said, she lifted into her tiptoes and gave Aberforth and Albus a kiss on the cheek before smiling at Gellert and wishing him a good night. "And Bubba, please don't kill kittens" she said with a sad smile before walking back inside.

"Go, fuck off then" Aberforth said angrily glaring at the two of them. Albus sighed, "I said I'd ask if you'd take Vee out to Diagon Alley" he said, "gave her a few galleons".

Aberforths angry demeanor faded quickly and he smiled at his brother. Which took both Albus and Gellert by surprise. "Thanks dickhead" he said happily, "dads money?". Albus nodded and went to walk away. Not before clicking his fingers and a slice of cake appeared in his hands. "New trick I learnt" he said to Gellert. He then proceeded to throw the cake at his little brother who caught it without damaging it.

"Come on then, I'm hungry" Gellert said walking into his aunties house watching Albus casually stroll into the garden.

Albus then grinned and began to sprint full speed at Gellert, to which Gellert laughed as Albus leaped at him only to apparate behind him and smack his behind.

"Oh you are a troublesome man Albus Dumbledore"
