**Chapter 1: The Soul Realm**
In the vast expanse of the Soul Realm, where time and space intertwined in a delicate dance, Rob, a celestial being of immense power, wandered with an air of weariness. His glowing eyes scanned the myriad of drifting souls, searching for one that stood out from the rest. His giant form cast an ethereal light, illuminating the otherwise dark and endless void.
Rob sighed, his voice resonating like thunder through the realm. "How hard is it to find a soul with decent qualities to reincarnate?" He paused, his gaze locking onto a particular soul that shimmered with an unusual brilliance. "Wait a second, that one is perfect."
With a gentle but deliberate motion, Rob reached out and enveloped the soul in his colossal hand. Bringing it closer, he inspected it with a mix of hope and hidden joy. His eyes, glowing with a soft, celestial light, reflected the potential he saw within this soul.
"After eons of searching," Rob murmured, "finally, a soul that isn't some edgy emo or a boring no-life virgin boy, but a soul with some brain cells! Thank the void, my boredom will be cured." He pondered for a moment, considering the bestowments and the destination for this extraordinary soul. "Now, what do I give him and where do I send him?"
A knowing smile spread across Rob's face as inspiration struck. "I know the perfect place and a set of powers that will make this interesting," he mused. "First, the power to consume and replicate anything, whether metal or organic matter. He can do incredible things with that—from creating a clone of himself to forging a giant death ray."
Rob's thoughts raced as he continued to plan. "Next, the power akin to a Galvanic Mechamorph from Ben 10. He will be able to combine with and upgrade any technological item, as long as his will is stronger. And lastly, the abilities of world travel, mind and soul transference, and what I shall call Tiny Tech—the power to create anything with his body and its doubles, provided he has the necessary materials."
He looked at the soul with a mix of paternal pride and anticipation. "Since you don't have a name yet, you shall be called Blackout. The world you are off to is Transformers Prime, a few years before the war. Good luck."
With a final, gentle push, Rob sent the soul on its journey, watching as it disappeared into the fabric of reality. A sense of fulfilment washed over him, knowing that the soul named Blackout was about to embark on an adventure that would shape the destiny of worlds.
Chapter 2: Collect, Consume, Create
Blackout: Where am I? What am I? That being sent me here, but why? He said this is Transformers Prime, before the war.
Blackout looked around, seeing this world for the first time. The ground shook with movement, and as he looked up, he saw giants made of metal. Despite his small size, he was unaffected when stepped on. The sights and sounds slowly began to overwhelm him, so he ran to a sheltered vent near one of the large buildings. After what felt like ages, he was inside the vent, calming himself down. He took a look at his reflection in the vent's metal surface and saw a purple robot.
Blackout: Everything is so big compared to me. How do I survive like this?
SYSTEM: Hello, Blackout. I am the System, an integral part of yourself that will help you navigate this world and others while understanding what you can do. You have the following abilities:
Consume and Replicate, Combine, Upgrade, Tiny Tech and World Travel
SYSTEM: Would you like to use one?
Blackout: System, how do I survive in this world? What do I need to do?
SYSTEM: You need to monitor your energon levels to survive and consume metal and other materials to create useful tools or clones of yourself to help you. Your current energon levels are full. The best course of action would be to make clones of yourself to gather information.
Blackout: Okay, so my first task is to make another me, if not many more, and send them out to gather as much metal and other things to create more. The second thing would be to find this energon that I need to survive. Wait, if I make a clone, how would it work? It would need my energon to function, leaving me with half my reserves or less.
SYSTEM: You are correct, Blackout. The clone needs energon just as much as you do. It would be best for you to follow a bigger bot so you can find a source of energon.
Blackout: Looks like that would be my best bet given my lack of resources.
Blackout made his way out of the vent and saw many bots standing not too far from his current location. With a target set, he rushed forward, slowly making his way across to the closest one. Blackout began climbing up a black and purple bot's leg. It took much longer than he thought it would, and he had to stop and hold on for dear life as the bot started moving.
Airachnid: Well, it looks like my break time is up. See you later after work, and tell my brother to wait for me next to the energon bar. He ditched me last time to go watch Megatronus fight in Kaon.
Astrotrain: I'll tell him. Hopefully, he will remember this time. Take care, Airachnid.
Airachnid: Another cycle's work for me. Honestly, why is no one else able to help out at the energon mines today? It's not like anyone else has anything better to do.
Airachnid walked back to the energon mines with an unknowing passenger clinging to her leg. If she did know, it's unlikely she would let him walk away without injury.
Blackout: Did she say energon mines? It looks like I hit the motherload. Thank you, giant robot lady.
Later, in the mines.
Blackout looked around from his vantage point on Airachnid's leg, seeing huge chunks of energon in crystal form. Airachnid bent down and picked up a handheld laser cutter, walking over to a huge energon crystal. She aimed at a third of it and pulled the trigger, slowly cutting it.
Blackout: Wait, my power allows me to combine with other tech. If I can reach the laser cutter, I can fuse with it, making my job much easier. But how do I get there? I know! If my power lets me combine with anything, then if I fuse with Airachnid just enough to travel rapidly, it will allow me to get to the laser.
Blackout slowly started to fuse with Airachnid, making sure not to affect her lest he be found out. With his task done, he quickly travelled up her leg, past her torso, and into her shoulder, making his way down her arm. He emerged on her hand and started fusing with the laser cutter. He found it in horrible condition, with cracks running all along the inside and an energon fuel leakage.
Blackout: Whoever is in charge of equipment maintenance is doing a god-awful job. This is just horrible—no love for the tools people use. Not like it's my problem. Time to analyse this laser cutter to make it on my own. The energon leakage is good, so I might as well drain a good chunk. That way, I can clone myself and send him out to gain more resources.
Blackout used his newfound powers to take most of the energon from the laser. He used some of the scattered metal fragments to make a clone of himself and set the clone to continue what the original was doing. Blackout left the laser, making his way out of it and onto Airachnid's arm. She finished cutting off the top half of the energon crystal and placing it onto a cart before seeing the laser cutter stop working.
Airachnid: Damn it! Why is it broken again? Can the maintenance staff do nothing right around here? Oh well, might as well throw it with the other broken tech. No point in getting it fixed again.
Blackout: Other tech, aye? Looks like a good day to me. Found energon and now more tech to fuse with.
Airachnid tossed the laser cutter into a small junk filled corner with blackout jumping off and looking around for anything of use hoping to salvage more tech to further his development.
