Alastor's POV

I lay in bed next to Lucifer. Andro is fast asleep in the middle of us. We both lay on our sides, staring into each other's eyes. I blow air at his face, making him giggle a little. I smile softly at him.

"What is it you're not telling me? You can tell me anything, you know that right?" He asks quietly. "You know I won't judge or insult you, right?"

"I know. It's just that I'm not proud of it at all and I don't like telling the story. I want to tell you though. I want you to know. It's just a hard topic for me." I sigh. "I'm not exactly a virgin." Lucifer gasps. Andro stirs in his sleep. I put my finger over my mouth, signaling for him to be quieter. He nods.

"You're not? Who took it?" he whispers. "How was it? Was it like a one night stand type of thing or...?"

"I never... wanted to do it." I look away. I look at Andro sleeping peacefully. I feel Luci's hand on my face, turning my attention back to him. His smile has vanished. "I never told you because I didn't want to think less of me."

"Why would I ever think less of you? You were put in a situation you couldn't control. It's not your fault. You're still my cute little deer and I still love you the same." I smile softly at him. He returns the smile. "Is this why you don't like the idea of sex?" I nod. I kiss his hand and he blushes.

"Let's switch topics, please," I whisper.

"Yeah. Uh. Can you please sleep tonight? At least just one night of good sleep. I know with the new threat, you'll say you won't be able to sleep until it's gone. But if it makes you feel any better, I'll stay up all night and watch over you two."

"I don't want you to ruin your sleep too. I'm used to not sleeping."

"Please, just for tonight. I care for you Alastor and want what's best for you. Get a good nights rest and you'll feel so much better. You'll have more strength if you sleep. Pleeease." He gives me those puppy dog eyes. Damn those eyes. I don't see why he's so worried about me not sleeping. I've been fine before. Before I met Vox, I never slept. I'll be fine.

"Okay. I will. I will. If that's what you really want, I will sleep tonight." He smiles and hugs me. He mumbles a quiet "thank you" in my ear. I give him a goodnight kiss and close my eyes. I let the tiredness in me take over and I fall asleep.

I wake up feeling refreshed. My eyes flutter open and notice Lucifer isn't here. Neither is Andro. I blink a few times as I look around our room. What time is it? I wobble out of bed and change to something presentable. My coat is missing. Hmm. I bet Andro is wearing it. He likes wearing it. He's always stealing it when he thinks I'm not looking. I walk around the cruise to search for my husband and our fawn.

"Raaaaa!" I hear Andro say somewhere nearby. I hear the pitter patter of his little hooves running around. I peek in the kitchen and he's running around wearing my coat. Lucifer is sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee, looking exhausted. I chuckle and he looks up at me.

"Morning," I say. "What's with the running?"

"I think he's trying to be like you. Big and scary. He really looks up to you, you know. Anytime he doesn't know where you are, he starts crying. In the hospital he was looking for you. When he couldn't find you, he struggled to hold in the tears. He told me he doesn't want to cry because he never sees you cry. He really loves you."

"He told you that?"

"Yeah. You're a big influence on him. Which means you've been a great parent. You're doing wonderful. So you don't need to prove anything to me anymore. You've shown enough that you won't be like your father. Take some breaks. It's okay to let me handle a few things too." I sigh. "Look. I know it's tough for you, but for the rest of the week, let me take care of him. Relax. Don't you feel better now that you got some actual sleep?"
