Lute's POV

I sit in Adam's old room. I miss him, even after all these years. I still drink wine in his room with an empty glass next to me. Sometimes I fill it, only to get sad again and drink it. Exterminators weren't needed anymore since Sir Pentious was redeemed and it proves redemption is possible. Now I have no role in Heaven. Emily has tried to cheer me up, even going out of her way to spend more time with me, but nothing seems to work.

A knock on the door takes me out of my thoughts. I go to open it, thinking it's Emily here to talk with me again. But it's Sera, my personal least favorite Seraphim.

"I knew you were going to be here, Lute," Sera says. "God wants to speak with you right now."

"Of course." I walk behind Sera to His office. The walk is silent. I'm glad she didn't try to make any conversation. I don't feel like talking to her. We reach the door and Sera nods her head, signaling for me to go in on my own. I open the door and walk in. God awaits behind His desk. I shut the door behind me and stand in front of His desk.

"You wanted to see me, My Lord."

"Yes. Yes. I need you to fetch someone from Hell."

"My Lord, I don't-" God glares at me, knowing who has more power here. I internally sigh.

"Who? Sir?"

"Someone who's been up here before."

"Lucifer? Why-"

"No no no. Not him. His husband."

"Husband?" A ball of white appears on the desk. I can see Lucifer in Hell on some type of boat. Assuming by the water behind him. Then I see the Radio Demon, laughing with the King of Hell. "Why do you want me to get him?" He is married to a sinner? I know Lilith isn't exactly there for him at all and is now dead, but a sinner? How was the sinner even up here before, like God mentioned.

"That is none of your concern, Lute. Your job is to get him and bring him to me. You have until tomorrow."

"Yes My Lord." I leave the office with determination to get the stupid demon. I haven't had anything to do for a few years until now. I open a portal and walk into Hell. I fly to find the boat or whatever Lucifer is on. I waited until night before striking. When everyone is asleep.

Alastor's POV

Lucifer and I sat down on the floor at the railing of the cruise. If the railing was to fail it's only job, then we would fall back into the water. I start to feel the familiar feeling of being watched. Although I know it's not Vox this time. It feels familiar but not the same. I don't feel a bunch of screens watching me. I feel just a singular pair of eyes watching.

"Al, what's wrong?" Luci asks, intertwining his hand with mine.

"Later, Luci." I kiss his hand, making him blush a yellow hue. We watch Andro run around with Velvette chasing him. He screams and giggles in joy. I watch them carefully. I notice Vox looking annoyed while he drinks his whiskey.

~Time Skip~

I sit alone in the kitchen late at night. I've somehow slipped out of bed without waking Lucifer up. Tonight he clung to me as if I was going to leave. I did leave but I'll be back soon. I see an exterminator angel in the corner of my eye. She acts fast and points her angelic spear at my neck.

"You're coming with me. Whether you like it or not, we're leaving."

"Such a shame. If only Adam came to join us, there would've been a better reunion."

"Adam?" She lowers her guard slightly before returning back. Interesting. Her soft spot.

"Ah. Adam."

"Tell me where he is."

"I'll tell you if you don't make me go to Heaven. Do we have a deal?"

"Deal," she says without a second thought. My smile grows wider and we shake on it. Green light fills the room before going back to normal once our hands separated. I tell her where Adam is and she flies off. I chuckle. I wonder why she even needed to get me. I assume that won't be the only attempt. I head back to bed to sleep. Surprisingly I was able to actually get some tonight.

I wake up with a smile on my face, like usual. Me and Andro both walk around the place. The fawn is wearing my coat, even though it's really large on him. The sleeves are 10 times larger than the little deer's arms. They hang off his arms and my coat drags behind him. I don't care. As long as my son is happy, I'm fine with it.

We reach the dining room and I pick up Andro, then set him on a chair. He stands and still can't even reach to look over the table. If he is on his tippy toes, he could have a small peek. He's so small. I go grab him something to eat. I find a banana and peel and cut it for him. I also grab some books for him to sit on. He sits on the books as he shoves slices of banana in his mouth. I am currently reading to finish the book I started when I should've been reading that one night. Lucifer walks out and gives me a quick kiss before getting coffee. He comes back out shortly later and sits beside me.

"Morning, love," I greet him.

"Morning. How'd you sleep last night? And don't even try lying to me, Mr. Morningstar." Of course he would use the last name he gave me. He loves using it I swear.

"I didn't fall asleep until around eleven, dear. Something...came up last night. But other than that, I slept well."

"What came up?" He takes a sip of his coffee, eyeing me. I watch Andro to make sure he doesn't choke. Then a gold light shines over me. Luci spits out his coffee and shoves me out of the way. We tumble on the floor out of the random light. I see Andronicus start to head for it.

"Andro, no!" I yell. Lucifer looks back. Our fawn starts floating, slowly disintegrating away. Luci tries to get him, but it's too late. The light disappears. Fuck.

God's POV

I expected to see a seven-foot red head deer in front of me, but instead I have a child. Although the child looks just like him. I call in Michael as the child just stares at me. Frog blinking. Michael walks in and looks at the fawn before looking at me.

"Yes, Father?"

"Take care of this child for me." He tilts his head slightly in confusion before obliging to my request. He takes the fawn out of my office and I summon the actual Alastor this time.

"There's the deer I'm looking for. Welcome back to Heaven, Alastor."
