Y/N's POV:
I approached Lorenzo's dorm with a mix of hope and desperation. The deadline for our Veritaserum project was looming, and I was at my wit's end. Enzo had barely made an effort to try when he showed up for class so the only other option left was to come to his dorm, I had to try.

I knocked on his door and waited, trying to steady my nerves. When Enzo finally opened it, he looked me up and down with a hint of surprise. "What do you want?" he asked.

"Lorenzo. I'm struggling with the potion," I said, forcing a polite tone despite my frustration. "I was hoping you could help. We both need to get this right."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Why should I? This isn't exactly my problem that you can't figure out simple ingredients and mixing."

"It's our project," I reminded him. "We're both responsible for it. I'm asking for a bit of help because I'm hitting a wall here. We could both benefit from it."

Enzo's expression grew smug, and he crossed his arms. "I don't exactly care if it helps my grade or not, but maybe if we continued where we left off after the party..."
He said as a smirk grew across his face, "I wouldn't be opposed to lending a hand"

I scoffed at him before rolling my eyes and shoving past him into his dorm, "I'm not going to beg or kiss you just for you to do your part or the work."

Lorenzo's face hardened. "You're the one who came here asking for help like it's my job to fix your mistakes. Why don't you just figure it out on your own?"

"I'm not asking you to fix my mistakes," I snapped. "I'm asking you to do your share instead of getting it off with whoever. It's not fair to just brush me- the project off."

"Fair?" Enzo let a sarcastic laugh as his voice grew sharper. "You've barely even tried getting it correct and you're the one who brushed my comments off when I did add my input. Maybe if you put in more effort on listening to the help you've had, you wouldn't need to come begging for it."

I felt a rush of anger. "I'm not begging. I'm asking for a bit of cooperation. We're supposed to work together on this, not just leave one person to do all the work."

Lorenzo's eyes narrowed, and his frustration seemed to boil over. "You know what? Jamie was right about you. He always said you were a bit of a bitch. I guess he wasn't wrong."

His words stung more than I expected, and I took a deep breath to steady myself. "Whatever, will you help or not?"

He ran a hand through his hair and closed his eyes, seeming exhausted. "Alright, fine. I'll help you. But only to get you out sooner."

A sigh of relief escapes as I began setting up began working on the potion together.
Enzo began measuring things and putting it together, though the tension lingered.

After a few hours of intense work, we finally completed both the Veritaserum and the antidote. Lorenzo took a careful sip of the finished Veritaserum, I took out my notebook once again. "Okay now answer a few questions, Is Theo really your best friend?"

He let out a yawn before answering "He's one of them but I'm closer to Mattheo" I nodded before writing it down. I asked him a few more before a thought crossed my mind.

I watched him carefully before asking "So, about what you said earlier—do you really believe Jamie was right about me?"

Lorenzo looked away for a moment, clearly weighing his words. "No. And I don't think Jamie thinks it either, I just.." he paused before speaking again. "I just wasn't thinking when I said it."

I hugged my knees to my chest and gave a small smile. Enzo took some of the antidote as we sat in somewhat comfortable silence, "so I'll take these and bring them in to Snape tomorrow" I said as I began closing the bottles. "I'll see you then"

He nodded and looked away, I sighed and took this as my cue to leave.

"Y/N" I grasped the knob and turned around to face him, "yes..?" Enzo opened his mouth but nothing came out, "um.. goodnight." I nodded before heading out, releasing a breath I wasn't aware I was holding.
