Two months into the tour, Bailey joined them. He would be with them for three weeks.
"Are you ready for our song?" Bailey asked Alex as he walked up to her.
"Yes." Alex said excitedly.
They were to sing "Remind Me" By Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
The crowd erupted into applause as Alex and Bailey finished their duet, their voices blending perfectly together. Alex felt a wave of emotions wash over her as the song brought back memories of their past.
Bailey reached out and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "That was amazing." He said, smiling at her.
Alex smiled back, grateful for his support. "Yeah, it was. Thank you for being here, Bailey. It means a lot to me."
"Always," Bailey replied. "I'm here for you, no matter what."
Bailey had a duet with Morgan. They went on stage and rocked it, with the energy between them electric. Alex stood backstage, watching them perform with a proud smile on her face.
The crowd was completely captivated by their performance, cheering and singing along. Morgan and Bailey's voices blended seamlessly, their stage presence commanding attention. As they moved through the song, it was clear they had a natural chemistry that made the performance unforgettable.
As the song came to an end, the audience erupted into applause and cheers, showing their appreciation for the incredible performance. Morgan and Bailey exchanged a high-five and a hug, clearly thrilled with how well it had gone.
Backstage, Alex couldn't contain her excitement. "You guys were amazing!" She exclaimed as they walked off stage.
"Thanks, Alex," Bailey said, beaming. "It felt great up there."
Alex hugged them both, feeling a surge of pride. "I'm so proud of both of you. You guys killed it out there!"
The three of them stood together, basking in the success of the performance, knowing they had created something special that night.
After the show, they all gathered in the green room to celebrate. Lainey brought out a bottle of champagne, and Michael found some snacks to share.
"To an amazing performance!" Lainey said, raising her glass.
"To many more!" Michael added with a grin.
Alex clinked her glass with everyone else's, feeling a deep sense of happiness and contentment. "To friendship and unforgettable nights." She said, looking around at the people who had become her family.
Morgan caught Alex's eye and gave her a small, sincere smile. Despite everything that had happened between them, there was a glimmer of hope for their future.
Alex and Bailey left the group to go talk, it's been months since they've genuinely talked. "Morgan got a girl pregnant, and I couldn't help but feel useless. Both of you were so excited, and then I ruined it. I don't even know if I can have children. What if I can't? Then I'm just your wall ornament." Alex said, tears streaming down her face.
"Hey, hey, you are not useless. You're not a wall ornament, and I don't love you for your reproductive system." Bailey said, making both of them laugh a little bit.
He wiped the tears from her cheeks and looked into her eyes. "You are so much more than that, Alex. You are my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. We'll face whatever comes together. And if we can't have children, we still have each other, and that's what matters most to me."
Alex smiled through her tears, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders. "Thank you, Bailey. I needed to hear that."
Bailey kissed her forehead. "We'll be okay, Alex. I promise."
