The morning sun shining through the blinds made Willow look up

The morning sun shining through the blinds made Willow look up. Stretching out her stiff joints, she closed her book and got up. She crossed the room and closed the blinds. Then she stepped outside. The morning glow warmed her face. With a relaxed sigh, she looked around the camp. Washed in the soft light camp looked so peaceful. Satyrs were playing pan pipes in the strawberry fields and nymphs flurried around but there was no activity from the cabins other than some of the Eos cabin watching the sunrise. Willow saw Perrie just as Perrie caught sight of her. Perrie began to walk over.

"I haven't seen you since before the game. How'd that go?" Perrie sat on the porch next to her.

"Garrett got stung and ruined everything."

"Well you still won," Perrie pointed out. "Guess you don't make such a bad team after all."

"Oh don't even." Willow rolled her eyes. "So how'd it go for you?"

"Andrew was busy checking his reflection in his sword when we got attacked from behind. He happened to see the reflection. It's too bad. If he hadn't seen the scorpion I might not have had to deal with him anymore."

"Geez Pez, that's dark."

"Accidents happen all the time here. I tried my best to save him. It wasn't enough," Perrie laughed.

"Remind me not to get on your bad side."

"Oh sweetie, you of all people know I don't have a bad side. Only two flawless sides." Perrie turned her head, puckered her lips, lowered her eyebrows, and put her hand under her chin.

They both laughed.

The door hinges creaking alerted them to Garrett's entrance. His black hair was tousled and his clothes were rumpled. He looked infuriatingly attractive. No, that wasn't right. Garrett's annoying. Willow didn't find Garrett attractive at all. He was most certainly not her type.

"Can I leave now?" He stretched his arms and his shirt came up a little showing his abs.

Willow snapped her eyes up to his face. "Depends, do you still feel weak?"

"Nope, I really am good as new now."

"Then you're free to go."

"Don't act so excited to be rid of me," Garrett frowned.

"Sorry, I don't lie between 6:00 and 8:00 A.M."

"You are so full of shit." Garrett walked away chuckling.

"So what are you up to now?" Perrie asked.

"I'm gonna sleep. I guess until breakfast. After that, I might go back to bed again."

"Oh. I wanted you to be on my team for the volleyball tournament this afternoon."

"Oh, right. I'll be up before then. And if I'm not you can wake me up. We'll kick everyone's ass," Willow promised.
