Matthew's pov

Mack and I had a tie in the dance battle. She is really groovy. We're all at the beach right now and I was kinda hoping that I would get to ask Mack to be my girlfriend today. All I could do is think about her saying 'yes' instead of 'no'. Everyone dug holes in the sand to see which one we could through Mahogany in without her knowing. "Matt! Could you bury me with sand?" Mack ask me innocently while batting her long eyelashes. Damn, this girl knows my weaknesses.

"Uh, sure." I stutter and I watch as she lays down. She motions me to put the sand on top of her. I do as she says and I make a heart shape of sand with her adorable face popping out of the middle. "Done." I simply say as I dust off my hands a little. "Thanks, now do you mind helping me up? I'm getting pretty squished in here." she asked and squirmed around in attempt to get out. I chucked at her cuteness and picked her up. "Thanks, I was
getting pretty uncomfortable." she trails off.

"No problem." I reply in the best British accent while bowing down. "You're too cute." she gushes and starts to applaud at the last scene I did. "I wish I could say the same, but 'cute' can't even compare to how beautiful you are." I pinch her rosy cheeks as I wink. She groans at the way I just teased her and walks to the small bag that carries her phone. "Mind if I join you?" I creep behind her which made her jump and screech a little. "Sure." she replies and grabs my hand as we walk across the street. We walk into a small ice cream shop and start to order. I payed the lady after me and Mack argued about who gets to pay for the ice cream. Of course, I won because I'm just smooth like that.

"Matthew? Are you alright in there?" Mack snapped me out of my thoughts. "Uh...I-yah. All good." I stutter. Since we're alone, why don't I ask her? "Mackenzie, I have to tell you something." I start off. She motions for me to continue and that's when my heart was racing, my palms were sweaty, heavy breathing. What if I mess this up? "Mackenzie Adams, I want to tell you something that could change us. But first off, I love you. A-and I know that we just met a while ago, but I'm falling in love with you. I'm scared that you won't feel the same and you'll love another guy that's better than what I am. I want to be able to call you mine before any guy gets to. So where I'm going off with this is. Could you be mine and I'll be yours?" I say while trying to hide how nervous I am.

"Matthew. I-I..."
