Chapter 8

Ayaan's POV

It's been a week since I came to New York and the only thing I have accomplished is attending the meetings. I came here to put distance between me and Anaya and the only distance I was able to put between us was the physical distance. My mind still doesn't understand the concept of getting her out of it and when I manage to stop thinking about her, my brother makes sure to remind me that I have a wife at home.

He calls me everyday to give me updates about company and home which I never asked him. He says it's his duty to tell me everything so I know he is responsible enough. But the only problem is that his updates about family includes 90% details about Anaya.

Anaya Bhabhi went to her house for Pagphera and I went to bring her back and we ate street food while coming back. I am thinking about appointing that street vendor for one of our fast food restaurants.

Anaya Bhabhi is in garden with Dadi having tea. They are just sitting quietly for the past 30 minutes and looking ahead. They didn't even talk and Dadi told Mom that she enjoyed her tea time with Anaya Bhabhi and they are doing it everyday.

Anaya Bhabhi is in the kitchen with Mom. They are experimenting with some new dishes and Mom told her how she always wished to do this with her daughter but God gave her two useless sons. I am confused whether I should be happy for Mom and Bhabhi or offended for us.

Anaya Bhabhi is playing chess with Dadu and there are very less chances of him winning. I hope that Anaya Bhabhi will break his ego and then I can tease him for the rest of his life.

Anaya Bhabhi went to shopping with Chachi and it looks like they bought half the mall in which Anaya Bhabhi's bags contained mostly snacks and food. She agreed on sharing when Ahaana and Aryan asked her but I don't think she wanted to share so Chachi scolded them and banned them from eating any snacks for a week because they dared to take her daughter's snacks.

Anaya Bhabhi is watching news with Papa and they are discussing the ways to  reduce crime in the country and the impact of political parties on the commission of crime. I think news anchor should telecast this debate instead of debates of political leaders.

Anaya Bhabhi is in library with Ahaana and they haven't come out in 3 hours. When I went to check on them , they were ranking their book boyfriends? I don't know what that means but they were giggling and blushing while doing it.

Book boyfriends? What the hell is a book boyfriend?

Anaya Bhabhi is watching cricket with Chachu and I have never seen him this excited while watching cricket. He is explaining everything to her as if she has to play the next match and she is listening with so much interest and then asking questions about players and their techniques.

Anaya Bhabhi is helping Aryan in his College project. I think its the first time I have not seen him crying while doing a project. He has a big smile on his face which is making him look more ugly than he already is. Eww

Anaya Bhabhi organised everything for Mrs. Kapoor's kitty party. She was working whole day alone because Mrs. Kapoor told her but in the end when everything was done she cancelled the party because she wasn't in mood anymore. Her whole hardwork went to waste.

Anaya Bhabhi helped Kritika to get ready for her friends birthday party as her stylist cancelled at the end moment. She didn't say anything but the way she was looking at herself again and again with a little smile showed that she liked her hair and makeup. She brought cupcakes for Bhabhi for helping her so I think she appreciates the help.

One thing is clear that the time I took to put distance between us, my wife utilized the same time to make a place for herself in my family's heart and she  succeeded.
