Author's POV

After Ayaan left Dadi told Naina to show Maya her room and everbody left to their own rooms. Anaya went to her room and saw Ayaan on the phone giving orders for the investigation of the issue. He was stressed so Anaya took the glass of water from the table and stood in front of him. She gestured him to take the glass and drink some water to cool down.

Ayaan drank the water while staring at Anaya which made her shy and she looked away. She was going to leave when she remembered something and stood their waiting for Ayaan to finish his call. Ayaan saw her waiting and understood that she wants to say something to him so he cut the call and sat on the bed while gesturing her to do the same.

He held her hand and asked, What do you have in mind?

I...um...the letter.....I mean, she was finding it difficult to talk to him after their decision to give their marriage a chance and the way he was holding her hand was making her nervous.

Anaya you can say anything to me, ok, so tell me what do you want to say hmm, Ayaan asked while his thumb was making circles on her hand. He was unaware that it was making her more nervous but she took a deep breath and told him the thing that was bothering her since the Maya incident.

Ayaan Ji, I was worried about the threat that was given to Maya Di. I mean I know that she is safe as she is here and we all are also safe here but in the letter that person said that it was the consequence of being close to you and now that we are married what if they did something to Mom and Dad. They are alone at the house and Dad stays at office whole day while Mom is alone. What if they attacked my parents next, if something happened to them , she said while panicking as different scenarios came in her mind.

Relax Anaya, nothing will happen to them. They are our parents now so don't think that I don't care about them or their safety. I already told Rahul to tighten the security around their house and office and few men will follow Mom and Dad at a distance for their safety. They won't bother them and you also inform them so that they are aware about the situation and be alert of their surroundings, Ayaan assured her and unknowingly a smile formed on her face as she heard him calling her parents Mom and Dad.

Thank you for taking care of them, she said.

No need to thank me, it is my responsibility to take care of our family, Ayaan said.

They were lost in each other when Ayaan's phone rang. He talked on the phone while Anaya was feeling awkward sitting beside him.

Anaya I have some work so I am going to the home office, if you need me you can call me anytime, okk? Ayaan told her to which she nodded. He was going out when he remembered something so he turned towards her and gave his phone to her. She looked at him in confusion,

Your number, I don't have your number so dial it on my phone so I can save it, he cleared her confusion.

Anaya dialed her number and gave the phone back to him. He was going to save the number but stopped and thought for a second and then erased Anaya and wrote "My Wife🥰" and saved the number.

Anaya was looking at changes in his expression while saving her number when her phone rang. She looked at the phone to see an unknown number. She was going to decline it thinking it a spam call but Ayaan stopped her.

It's my call, you also need my number in order for us to communicate with each other right so save it and feel free to use it whenever you want, he said and left from there while Anaya was left in the room blushing while looking at the phone. She felt happy at the progress they made in their relationship.
