I startle to the noise of someone loudly banging on the front door. Unfortunately so did my parents.

"Gwen, who could that be? That better not be the damn hotel housemaid again" I could hear him grumble to my mother in the room next door. I know it's not the housemaid though, it's probably just my annoying ass friend; pardon me I mean Matt. I quickly jump out of bed in my striped old pyjamas that my grandmother bought me when she was still alive. She died a couple years ago but my parents still blame her for everything though. If they lose a sock or something it's always because of 'Goddamn Marline with all your little pranks' they would yell before crackling into laughter. I was always fond of her though; she was young at heart and always would make the prettiest daisy chain necklaces with me when I was allowed to see her. Of course that was not often but I looked forward to any event where she might be present. I didn't see her much in her last years; that was when the rest of the families started to block us out from everything. I ran though the maze of the house with my messy bed hair to race to the door before my dad has a chance. I try not to trip over all the garbage the space has seemed to grow overnight. There were countless numbers of chocolate bar wrappers, clothes tags and smelly laundry that I couldn't even try to count. It was obvious that the room was a big mess and I know I'll be the one who will have to try to clean it up before the real housemaid gets here. Because I don't want to get thrown out of this hotel because of the laziness of my family.

When I finally reach the door; I open it quickly shoving myself outside before he can speak. Unfortunately when I was trying to quickly get outside I didn't realize how close Matt was and fell right into him which caused him to tumble over onto the flower garden.

"Sorry" I quietly say as I pull him up from the now squashed garden.

"It's okay; the garden broke my fall" he chuckled to himself in the early sunlight of the morning. He always seems to make every situation positive.

"Why are you here this early" I asked as I brush the dirt off his hair with my hands as he tried to push my hands away from his obvious gelled slicked back hair which was now covered with dirt and flower petals.

"Phase two sweetie pie" he smiled showing off his perfect white teeth. I groan but then remembered my perfect winter that Matt had promised on the deal that I follow every command of his. Just think about warm hot chocolate going down my throat singing Christmas carols.

"So what do you want me to do?" I asked. It's not like I own a gym or in fact i'm not even sure this hotel even has a gym.

"We're going jogging; I have a feeling " he said keeping his perfect smile. I nod and went back into the house to quickly change because I knew there was no way I was getting out of this. Maybe that's what I need to feel better; I nice jog in the crisp fall morning air. I got changed into my super old joggers and an old tee shirt which was covered in stains before going outside once again in the crisp morning air.

"Hurry up cupcake" he called from the top of the hill. I frowned at him and kept at my pace.
