Part 7

"Because!" 

Thomas places his hands on Roxan's shoulders and turns her to face him. He stares down at her as she becomes swarmed with butterflies and she doesn't know what to do so she just stands there quietly trying to brush off the close proximity of the two.

"It's my job to keep you safe and that's what I'm gonna do."

Thomas looks her in the eyes as he says this in a serious tone that's comforting in a way.

"I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. I promise" Thomas says in his soft tone. Roxan nodded and he released his grip on her shoulders.

"If it makes you feel better, i can stand by your side at all times till he leaves,"

"That would be fine thank you,"

"My pleasure, your Highness."

"Now i need to pick out my dress for tonight"

Roxan said ending the 'moment' they were having

"Alright then i'll station outside your door"

Thomas said as the two headed back towards the door leading out of the garden and into the castle, Thomas opened the door
"Ladies first"

Roxan chuckled at his comment and walked in Thomas close behind as the two entered into the grand hallway they heard commotion in the throne room. Thomas placed his hand on his sword and placed his back against the wall outside of the door

"Stay here princess"

Thomas said in a serious whisper

Roxan nodded and Thomas peeked his head around the door and saw nothing but the king talking to someone. Unsure who it was he brushed it off and turned back to roxan removing his hand from his sword.

"It's all clear just your father,"

Thomas said quietly

"Okay let's go upstairs i need to get ready"

Roxan replied

They continued walking and made their way up the grand stairs, Roxan's room was the second closest first being her parents, about 3 hallways were full of guest quarters all with large rooms and grand bathrooms. Roxan walked past her parents room and proceeded to hers. As she was about to open the door to her bedroom Lucas ran up the stairs after them.

"Princess roxan!"

Lucas yelled

"Oh great"

Roxan mumbled under her breath

she stepped closer to Thomas who's posture became tall and fierce and his stare harder as the prince came up

"I'm so happy I found you princess!"

Lucas smiled to the princess going in for a hug

"It's your Highness to you"

Thomas spoke in a serious tone as he placed his hand on lucas's chest to stop him

"Uh ok.."

Lucas said slightly startled

"Well your Highness, your parents informed me that I am to take over the room that is right next to yours for the stay! it's all set up already!" 

"Oh,really"

Roxan spoke unamused and slightly worried

"Isn't it great? We're going to be neighbors! We can stay together at every hour!"
