JUDE'S POV

The following week, both the Bellinghams and the Blackstones planned a family dinner at Bella's parents' estate. It was a regular tradition that strengthened the bond between our families. This time, there was an air of excitement as I had just returned, and Bella had taken her first steps toward her bakery dream.

I arrived at the estate feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. The grand dining room was already bustling with activity. Bella arrived early to help her mother with the preparations, and I couldn't help but admire her dedication. The dining room was grand, with a long table set with fine china and crystal glasses. The kitchen buzzed with activity as the chefs prepared an elaborate meal.

As we all arrived, Bella's father, Mr. Blackstone, greeted everyone warmly. He was a man of great stature and presence, with a firm handshake and a kind smile. I was dressed in a tailored suit, and greeted Bella with a kiss on the cheek and smiled at her parents.

"Good to see you, Jude," Mr. Blackstone said, clapping me on the back.

"Likewise, sir," I replied, smiling.

Dinner was a lavish affair, with multiple courses and rich conversations flowing around the table. Bella and I sat next to each other, sharing smiles and whispered comments as the meal progressed. It felt wonderful to be back, surrounded by family and love.

After dessert, Mr. Blackstone cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "Jude, would you join me for a moment in the study? There's something I'd like to discuss with you."

I nodded, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension. I followed Mr. Blackstone to the study, a room lined with bookshelves and filled with an air of quiet authority.

Mr. Blackstone gestured for me to take a seat, then closed the door behind him. He sat down opposite me, his expression serious yet kind.

"Jude, I wanted to have a word with you, man to man," Mr. Blackstone began. "I've watched you and Bella grow close for about 9 months now, and I've seen how happy she is with you. That means a great deal to me and her mother."

I nodded, listening intently. "I care deeply for Bella, sir. She means everything to me."

Mr. Blackstone smiled. "I can see that. And I can see that you support her dreams and ambitions. That's something I value greatly. I wanted to thank you for being there for her, especially with this new venture of hers. Opening a bakery is no small feat."

I felt a surge of pride. "Bella is incredibly talented, sir. I believe in her and her dreams, and I'll do everything I can to support her."

Mr. Blackstone leaned back, his expression softening. "I trust that you will, Jude. But there's one more thing I want to ask of you. I want you to promise me that you'll always take care of her. Bella is very precious to me and her happiness means the world to us."

I met Mr. Blackstone's gaze, my voice steady and sincere. "I promise, sir. I will always take care of Bella and support her in every way I can."

Mr. Blackstone smiled, satisfied with my response. "Thank you, Jude. That's all I needed to hear."

We stood and shook hands firmly before rejoining the family. Bella looked up, her eyes filled with curiosity. I smiled at her, reassuring her with a gentle squeeze of her hand.

BELLA'S POV

Saturday night at my parents' estate felt like a dream. The grand dining room was abuzz with laughter and conversation, and I was surrounded by my favorite people. Jude looked incredibly handsome in his tailored suit, and I couldn't help but steal glances at him throughout the evening.
