The Real Deal

Instinctively I walked towards Irinia's apartment building. On the way I was thinking about my job back on Earth. It was nothing like the jobs on this planet. In fact, these weren't even jobs. It was like a lab experiment, with the humans acting like mice. At least all of that running hopefully generated some more power for this seemingly gigantic research lab. At least my old job I was well-aware of my monotony. All of that silica gunk. Wait. I scraped all of that off so that the robots wouldn't get covered in it. Robots eventually broke down, and needed to get repaired or replaced. That meant that any of these robots that got damaged had to get repaired. I looked around, but I couldn't find any robots. Tracing my memory, the only robots I saw were the clothing store worker and the restaurant workers. Whoever made this world was a complete genius. They even minimized the amount of robots to accomplish what needed to be done! As much as I admired this mysterious genius, I still had to find a way to locate him. I started this journey with Irinia in mind. It was that night I was smitten by her filterless display of emotion. I truly felt her sadness and wanted to do something about it. Now, she was fully devoid of that emotion. There was no other choice but to continue looking for a way to fix her. I had to find a robot. I turned around and walked back towards Destin.

He was still there, just meditating. I passed by and entered the brothel. I could only guess that there were more than a few robots in here. Inside it looked just like a vintage movie with red-laced wallpaper that was dimly lit by crystal chandeliers. Black leather sofas, loveseats, and sectionals dotted the lobby. I walked past them all and went right to the front desk. There was a bell, and oddly there was no kiosk here. I pressed the bell and heard the same confirmation peep from the kiosks. Almost instantaneously a half-dressed woman that I assumed was a robot entered the room. It was wearing only a red lacey bra, barely covering its large breasts and velvety black pants that hugged the extreme curves of her hips. I had to avert my eyes for a moment. It was a bit much.

"What are you looking for tonight?" the robot said, in a sultry voice.

I was waiting for some choices, but it just waited for me to provide an answer. So this was one of those brothels that served the most loyal customers that knew exactly what they wanted. Maybe I could outsmart this AI.

"Well, what can I have tonight?" I asked.

The robot rolled it's eyes. "A new customer?"

Crap, so much for outsmarting the AI.

"Yes, I just walked in really curious." I answered.

"Then I would recommend Ruby, she's great with beginners. That would be 1 token please."I reached into my empty pockets and panicked. I had to think of something, quick.

"I really was just curious. I'm sorry but I spend all of my tokens already." I said. "Thank you for answering me."

I turned around and started to think about what else I could do to find a damaged robot. Suddenly another voice came from my left.

"Please don't leave me." it said.

I turned towards the voice and saw another girl I assumed robot. She had twin tails, red hair, and wore a business suit. I guess it was for the coworker-next-door fetish? Was this Ruby, and why did she stop me?
