"Tae, please say anything. We've been standing here for almost half an hour now.."Jungkook pleads, head bowed down doesn't feel confident to face Taehyung. Honestly he doesn't know whether to hug his long lost friend, or say a lot of sorry, or start the conversation by asking how's life so far or whatever.

"Fine. How's life Jungkook?" Taehyung faced him, made Jungkook surprise of how casual the younger is asking him. But its actually a good thing, at least in this way the tension will lessen.

"I missed you.." Jungkook gulp.

"I know, i've been way too immature back then and.. There's just no way i would let it slide now and not give you a proper apology about what i did.." He continued

"You mean rejecting me? I get it.. I must've pressure you or it turns out to be an insult to you when i confessed those bullshit so i guess-"Taehyung cross his arms trying his best to look tough, so Jungkook would think he was a whole new person now.

"No, not an insult. It didn't turn out that way to me, I understand it and accepted it well. I know you've been so genuine back in those days and I was too blind to realize that. Simply because im afraid with the possibilities like i might end up hurting you." Jungkook bit his lips, holding back his tears because this isn't the right time to be emotional.

"Seriously? You might end up hurting me? You already did by rejecting me. But you never try liking me back so you still don't know whether you'll end up hurting me or not back in those days."

"I just know in myself that i cannot see you in pain because of me. And yes, I didn't try liking you back because I was just protecting you from someone like me. I'm a total piece of trash when we were in college Taehyung.. You always ended up going down or fail or get hurt because of me. I was no good for you back then.."

"You're so selfish." Taehyung let out a small sarcastic laugh as he looked away.

"I guess i am?"

"I hate you so much Jungkook!" Taehyung wasn't able to stop himself from raising his voice to the other.

"Do you think I would help you do any school stuffs back then just because you're my friend? Do you think I would tolerate your childishness all the girls you fuck in our dorm, all those unfinish household chores, all those reckless decisions you made, and all those pain you've caused me just because you're my friend?.."

"No.." Taehyung let out softly, endless tears falling from his eyes. But at the same time he felt so good finally bursting out all the emotions he concealed, which he kept on hiding a few years now.

"I did all that because I care for you.."He continued as he point his finger on Jungkook's chest and softly pushing him back out of frustration.

"I did all of that because after all those times, I knew i love you.."Taehyung looked at Jungkook's eyes who is also now crying, while poking his inner cheek with his tongue.

"If i only see you as my friend back in those days, where all you do was pester me, mess with me, get in the way of my studies I should've just cut you off.."

"But no i didn't, I knew i needed you.. But i know it was wrong because you only see me as your friend.."

"You only see me as someone who would be there for you, and not as someone who can love you.."

"I'm sorry Jungkook.." Taehyung was about to turn and step away when Jungkook pulled his arms for a hug, being engulfed fully as he rest his head on Jungkook's chest.

"This is all my fault Taehyung im so sorry.."Jungkook pats his head gently stroking his hair and give it a peck.

"I know what I want now Taehyung, and if you will allow me please.. I promise you, i can be so much better. I can give you everything you want, I'll gladly be your dog or whatever you want-"

"Shut up Jungkook" Taehyung laughed for an out of nowhere lines of Jungkook.

"Seriously Taehyung i don't have any plans to waste this moment anymore. I don't have plans of letting you go this time. So please, please give me a chance Taehyung? please accept me again. I can't lose you.."

The two walked hand in hand on the way to Taehyung's house totally lost track of time.

The younger also checked his phone is surprised to see 15 missed calls from Jimin, 7 missed calls from his mom, 5 missed calls from Baekyun and many more. He scrolled down on his phone, turned it off and speed up his footsteps.

"Oh no! Jimin and mom must've been looking for me it's getting late!"

"What why?!"

"It's my birthday!?"

"Oh right! Happy birthday Taehyung! to be honest i was literally on the way to your house few hours ago." Jungkook scratch the back of his head, glad that he wasn't able to spoil the surprise. But he was also worried that they took to much long. He knew he shouldn't be too dramatic a while ago.

They reached the house when Jungkook pulled him to a hug again. The surroundings was already dark and the birds chirping are the once that are only heard. Taehyung can cleary hear his heart beat, as he looks at the other's eye.

"Can i kiss you?.." Jungkook gentlemanly asks.

Taehyung didn't answer and sealed everything with a kiss on the other's lips.

When a loud birthday poppers go on with a bang and confettis all over the place. With everyone cheering and wearing party hats. With Jimin raising a drink, Baekhyun with a banner, and Yoongi with the birthday poppers crouching behind the table.
