The loud cheerings that are heard suddenly stopped as if everyone saw a ghost. Eyes all wide, people smiles awkwardly, while some mouth form into an 'o'.

"Oh my gosh !" Taehyung released his arms from Jungkook's neck, as he stepped back covering his mouth with his pale hands.

"Ha-Happy Birthday Taehyung! Yey waaa, Taehyung's here everyone!" Jimin tried to break the silence by cheering happily, eyes dissapearing from his awkward yet timely smile. It was followed by Jin and Baekhyun's claps and continous party poppers to distract other people with what they just witness. Luckily Taehyung's parents arrived a minute later, and they didn't get to view the surprising moment a while ago.

"Jungkook you're here bro!" Yoongi initiate an fist bumped to his friend who's now looking like a fool from smiling too much. The older winked at him, and Jungkook knows that questions will start to flood right after all of their friends eat.

"I thought you're not gonna make it, but you already shoot your shot right there, hands down Jungkook you have my respect. "Yoongi teases his friend, as he chunk a bottle of alcohol on his right hand.

"When did our Jungkook grow up" The older continued.

On the other hand Taehyung was busy chatting with some of their neighbors, friends, and batchmates as if he's trying to forget what just happened a while ago. It was almost half a decade ever since him and his college friends last met. Laughs, giggles and different reactions filled the room. It was a beautiful and surprising night indeed.

"So Taehyungie? Is Jungkook your boyfriend now?" Baekhyun segue, extending his arms and wrapping it on the other's waist slowly.

"Well" Taehyung can't really answer the question properly. It's like there is no specific answer that he should give yet. Everything was so fast, and he couldn't just acknowledge Jungkook as his boyfriend right at this moment. But since everyone saw that they kissed, might as well they thought Jungkook and him were together now.

"Let's just say its complicated.." Taehyung just let out a laugh, making Namjoon and the rest of the circle nod not wanting to pressure the younger.

"The last time I heard, you guys weren't in good terms?" Baekhyun was determined to know what's the real score behind Taehyung and Jungkook.

"That's actually true, you know i flew to New Zealand right away after we graduate."

"Why so sudden, Jungkook and you were inseparable back then."

"I think that's too personal to answer hyung," Taehyung replied with just a smile.

"I'm your friend though, at least i should know what's going on with your life?"

"Hmm."

As Taehyung was about to respond, Jungkook sat down in between of them holding a beer, handing it to Taehyung as he poke his tongue on his inner cheek.

"Ah Baekhyun, you still haven't change you're still the same inconsistent guy who always mind things that isn't your business way back in college." Jungkook sarcastically said, that made Taehyung glared at him. He's offending Baekhyun on purpose and Taehyung doesn't want that. They're here to have fun and get along, not to start an argument.

"Oh Jungkook! now you have the guts to call me inconsistent now, as if you graduate because of your hard work? Taehyung did everything to save you back then, don't you think you're being too harsh to me?" Baekhyun proudly answered right after he drank the whole glass of his alcohol.

Alternatively, this reply just made Jungkook's fist turned into a ball as he roll his eyes, eyebrows flashed looking so ready to throw his fist anytime.

"That was in the past guys, let's forget that don't you think?" Jimin get in the way as the group suddenly felt the tension growing on both sides.

"There Jimin, why don't you tell everyone that you betrayed your friend back then the reason why Taehyung left?" Baekhyun stood up and everyone looks at him. Some feels terrible and others looked confused.

"You're crossing the line now hyung, I think you're just drunk." Taehyung tried to cover up to the other, so he could stop on making a scene in front of everyone. On the other hand Yoongi stood up for his boyfriend went straight to Baekhyun's and grab him by the collar.

"Jungkook's right, you're still the same pathetic clown way back in college. Everything happened in the past should be left in the past. If you don't know how to fucking forgive, and understand that people can mature because of life experience and people learn from mistakes, then shut the fuck up and leave." Yoongi stated with his deep voice, almost sound like a whisper that brought shivers to Baekhyun's spine.

It was not until Jin and Jimin tried to stop him from doing something worse to Baekhyun who is now sitting back on the couch.

Taehyung mouthed sorry to Jimin, and the other just gave him a smile making sure that everything is fine and there's nothing to be worried about.

"Jungkook started it!" Taehyung still on his pajama said, tone was almost crying from being so worried about what happened last night.

The group of friends decided to have an overnight on Taehyung's house because his parents suddenly has to go to their home town, because of an emergency on their strawberry business.

"Whoever started it, maybe Baekhyun was just on the under the influence of alcohol the reason why he's over reacting." Jin calmly answered.

"Yoongi hyung's words hits hard." Namjoon slowly claps making the rest let out an laugh.

Jungkook went out from the shower, with a towel on his hand drying his hair. Taehyung saw him suddenly feeling like they're back on their dorm life in college, where they used to be together almost all the time.  When Jimin interrupt his small imagination by tickling his side making him giggle.

"Taehyungah, you still haven't answer us since last night. Are you guys together now?" Jin asked

"Yes its just us Taehyung, good thing Jungkook is also here you guys can make it clear to us now." Yoongi added, giving a small nod.

"Hyungs its not that easy, we've just met last night and you know there's a lot more to at least do and improve individually right." Jungkook tried to meddle not wanting to pressure Taehyung in to answering without thinking about it, or answering it against his will.

"No."

"We're not together."

"We're not together yet." Taehyung bit his lips.
