Later that night Hal and Colette were in their bedroom. He was sitting on a chair, moving a knife around his hands, playing with it.

Colette's throat felt tight, there was something she wanted to say to him but was so nervous for what he'd say back.

She took off her necklace, placing it on the vanity in front of her, as she sat there in her nightgown. She sighed shakily as she did.

Hal lifted his head up "what is the matter my love?" He questioned

Colette said nothing for a minute biting her lip anxiously not wanting to have to conversation but knowing it must be had.

"I have something I want to discuss with you" She told him making him sit up and she turned on her chair to face him.

"I'm listening" he told her.

"I want to go with you when you go to battle" she said forcing the words out of her mouth, trying to sound confident.

Hal simply laughed at her words "no"

"Yes! I will not stay here without you! I will not! Anyway, I am medically trained for battle, you will need me for injured soldiers, you know I'm right" she told him.

"Lottie no. I will not let the future queen of England step foot on a battle ground" he told her sternly.

"It's not fair! How would you feel if I were to go to battle and you had to sit here by yourself all day? It's torture! I will not stay here!" She said

"Colette! I am the King! I make the decision, you are staying here!" He yelled

Colette jumped from his unusual tone of voice towards her, wiping the tears that had come will she voiced her opinion.

"Lottie I-"

"Get out" she ordered standing up.

"Please-"

"Out!" She yelled as tears fell down her face.

He sighed, doing what he was told leaving the room, cursing to himself at his actions.

Colette watched him leave, sitting on her bed crying. She wanted him to agree. She didn't want to be alone.

Hal walked into Falstaffs new room, seeing a young boy cleaning his feet while he bathed. He laughed slightly before his smile fell again, remembering the incident with Colette.

"Are you ready for what awaits us?" Hal asked

"One is never ready for what awaits us." Falstaff replied from the bath.

Hal looked down, deep guilt and regret entered him as he thought back at how he yelled at his fiancé.

"What troubles you?" Falstaff asked seeing his face.

"Tis Lottie. She wants to come with us, she says she'll attend to soldiers wounds, that she'll be a help. But I don't not want her at such a place! I worry for her" Hal admits his face scrunched up.

Falstaff sighed "I doubt you will enjoy what I have to say but I shall say it anyway. She would be a help. We'll only have a handful of nurses. We do need her. This worry you feel for her, she feels for you. She does not want to be here alone, Hal. I think her more safe there with you, than here with no one you trust. If the king knows she's here unprotected by her king, he could strike once more. For an unknown reason, he wishes to do so" Falstaff said.

Hal huffed, taking in this information, sighing knowing he was right. Without saying anything, he strode out the room, making Falstaff smile, knowing he'd convinced him.
