The day had finally come. They were officially in France. Colette breathed in the somewhat familiar French air, sighing, wishing her return would not have been so painful.

After getting on a smaller boat, once getting close enough to the shore, Hal hopped of it, turning to Colette.

"You think you can handle getting slightly wet Lottie?" He asked his hands going to her hips.

"No, I believe I may die" she said.

He smiled slightly at her, grabbing either sides of her waist, and lifting her down off the boat, the bottom of her legs and her feet getting soaked in the sea water.

She sighed, as Hal placed his hand on her back, guiding her until they had reached the shore. Waiting for the other men to do so as well.

Around two hours later, they eventually had gotten everyone off the boats, and had now walked until they made it to the close by village.
Colette looked around as Hal held his swords tightly "stay close to me my love" he whispered in her ear, making her nod.

It seems they had all fled to the castle that was a few miles away, but very visible by its large size. All the soldiers searched the houses, confirming no one but them were there.

Over the next few days, all the soldiers put up the tents as well as beginning to attack the castle, on from far away that is, shooting Fire at it was their way of attack. Many pressured Hal to do more, but Colette saw it as smart. Although it took longer, none of their men were harmed.

On this particular morning, Hal, Colette and the nobles sat on stools, listening to lord Dorset ramble about how he disagreed with their attacks.

"We must storm that castle. It will be bloody. We will most surely sacrifice souls." He continued.

Colette's sighed having enough
"Lord Dorsey if you care so strongly about this situation, how about you sacrifice your soul for it?" She asked staring up at him.

He said nothing for a moment, staring at her bitterly "I could say the same for you, my lady" He spat back

Many of the men looked up at him shocked by his words, some looking at the king to see what he'd do.

"Lord Dorset threaten her again and I will have your head" Hal stated simply.

"I- yes my liege" he said.

"Continue, since you believe you must disrespect even your future queen to prove your point" Hal said staring daggers at the man.

Colette watched him stutter and clear his throat about a hundred times before her finished his pathetic speech, and she did so with a smile on her face.

"Sir John?" Hal questioned wanting his opinion.

"War is bloody and soulless yes" Is all he said before looking at the ground making Hal shake his head in annoyance.

Later that day, William and the young couple stood observing the attacks that were taking place, until William turned to his left saying "The archbishop has arrived".

Hal smiled slightly hearing this as he turned around to see for himself.

Colette stared at her Fiancé with confusion, they had stayed up late numerous nights, mocking the man and making fun of him by reenacting his speech's that he'd give to them. They both clearly shared an unlike for the man, so why now was Hal happy to see him?
