part 12- Accient Feud

The two outlaws enter camp, both with big smiles on there faces. Claudia hitches her horse with the others and goes to place the money into the camp donation box.

A couple days later, she sees Arthur and dutch talking making Arthur mount his horse again and ride back out in a huff. "What was that about?" Claudia asks Hosea who is sat next to her near the fire.
"Dutch is making him meet Sean, Micah and Bill in Rhodes to talk with the Greys but Arthur doesn't think the plan will work out" Hosea explains closing his book and putting it down.
"What plan?" Claudia asks.
"We are using both families who run this part of the country, the Grays and the Braithwaites, in the end we are hoping they will blame eachother" He says.
"What happenes if they find out?" She queries taking out a cigarette and lighting it.
"Then the plan will fail, simple as that" Hosea says getting back to his book.
"Oh, Miss Jenkins go with Arthur will you" Dutch calls out, "you should catch up with him if you leave now".
"Dutch are you sure about that, her arm hasn't healed yet"Hosea questions raising his head at Dutch.
"Hosea, it's fine" Claudia reassures, "I will leave now Dutch" she nods leaving to mount Nyrah.
She leaves camp once again faster than usual trying to catch up with Arthur. She follows the path up to Rhodes and sees Arthur silhouette in the distance. "Morgan" she yells trying to get his attention, he slows his horse making it easier for her to get to him.
"What you doing here" He mumbles turning his head to her.
"Dutch sent me" she declares.
"Well stay by my side, I've got a bad feeling about this" He frowns as they both ride into the town, Rhodes. They both see the three men relaxing up against a fence.
"We've been waiting for you Arthur, why is she here?" Micah whines getting up from where he was sitting.
"Well sorry to have kept you, she here from Dutch's orders" Arthur explains.
"Come on, lets get going" Micah orders as they all follow him.
"What's the plan" Claudia asks.
"We're meeting a couple of the Grays over at the saloon, they spoke to Bill about a job needing security" Micah trails on facing to Arthur.
"After the farce of stealing the horses for them, why we doing this?"Arthur complains, as they all walk through the main street of Rhodes.
"Cause we need to stay in with them, and they're paying" Micah answers.
"So what kinda sercurity they want?"  Arthur huffs.
"We're about to find out, now come on" Micah concludes, trying to get Arthur to shut up.
"This seem legit to you, Bill?" Arthur asks Bill.
"Sure.." Bill says.
"Dutch said we was to keep on dealing with them until we find this gold" Micah butts in.
"Can we trust them?" Sean speaks up still holding onto the rifle against his shoulder.
"Can we trust anyone?" Arthur snaps.
"Lets just see what they say" Micah snarls.
"They said there was some big misunderstanding about them horses" Bill states.
"And, what about the burning their feilds?" Sean questions.
"They don't know we had anything to do with that" Bill says. Claudia wonders what they are on about, they must of done it while she was asleep for days.
"Oh, thats so?" Arthur scoffs.
"They think it was the Braithwaites" Bill adds on. "Listen I know these Gray boys a bit now, This is on the level".
"We're stuck in the middle of some accient feud" Arthur says, Claudia could tell that he was getting angrier as they went on. "But instead of playing both sides, we're being used by the both of them".
"They were saying Catherine Braithwaite..." Bill gets stops.
"Hold up, this don't feel right" Arthur says.
"Now it don't feel right?, I could've told you tha..." Sean laughs, until a loud ring of a gun lets out and blood splatters all over Claudia. Claudia eyes fixate on Sean lifeless body with his brains all over on the floor.
"Shit" Arthur mutters taken cover from the bullets wizzing down at them.
"What the fuck" Claudia yells taking out one of the Grays behind her. The Grays set them up.
"I can't believe you shot me you bastards!" Bill crys out as he gets shot.
"You okay?" Arther asks as he knocks down the sniper hovering on the roof.
"I'm fine" Bill snaps angrily.
"Is he dead?" One of the men yell over the gunfires about Sean.
"Look at him, of course he's dead" Claudia shouts back seeing seans body on the fall. More hired guns come out of nowhere, they are shoot there way through.
"Hey, sweetheart stop missing and actually hit the godamn person" Micah snarls as he leans against the barrels next to Claudia; She tries to keep her arm straight but she cant.
"I can't help it for christ sake" She rages while the two of them keep shooting.
"Maybe you're not as good as Dutch thinks you are" He says, he gets up making his way to the gunsmith which Arthur has already entered
"Shut it, stop whining and just shoot these god damn idiots" Claudia orders moving from her position to another. In the corner of her eye she sees Bill pinned up by some Grays and the Sherrif. She sighs as they take him inside the sherrifs offfice. The sound of guns finally go silent, Micah, Arthur and Claudia climb out of their postions and look around.
"Claudia go back and make sure you're not followed, I don't know why Dutch made you come" Arthur sternly says as him and Micah make their way to where Sherrif Gray is.
"But Arthur..." She pleads as
she wipes the blood off her face and arms.
"Don't 'but Arther' me, get on that damn horse and go" He argues back, "Can't believe you didn't know it was a trap" he looks at Micah.
"It was Bill, blame him" Micah says placing both of his guns in his holster. Claudia walks over to Sean's body, she hardly ever spoke to him but he was still close to her. Tears form in her eyes but she quickly hides them before turning around to the boys.
"Claud I won't say it again go, I don't wan't you injured again" Arthur insits leading her horse to her. He could see the tears forming in her eyes.
"You can't tell me what to do" Claudia yells.
"Can't you two cut it out you, Arthur we need to finish this off without babysitting" Micah moans turning the other way. Claudia huffs mounting Nyrah, Arthur could tell she's angry at him but he doesn't wan't her to get killed. He doesn't wan't to lose another person that he loved.
