Nathan was getting ready for work as the morning sun cast a warm glow through the windows. Adam, still exhausted from the previous night's events, decided to go to bed.
Nathan locked his door and headed out, passing by Adam's house. Suddenly, Adam came running towards him, his expression frantic.
"Come on, Nathan! Someone's in the field!" Adam shouted.
"What?" Nathan asked, confused, but followed Adam as he sprinted towards the field.
They found a girl fainted in the field, a little further away from where Adam had been found the night before. Dew glistened on the grass around her as the early morning light began to illuminate the area.
"How did you see her?" Nathan asked, catching his breath.
"Ace was running from home and sniffing something in the field. When I looked closely, I saw her there, so I ran to get you. Thank God you came," Adam replied with relief.
They carefully carried the girl to Nathan's house, laying her on the sofa. The house was modest, with sunlight streaming through the windows, creating a calm, warm atmosphere. They tried to wake her up, and after a few moments, she stirred and opened her eyes, panic immediately setting in.
"Hey, it's okay. We're not going to hurt you," Nathan said soothingly as she tried to run.
They gently held her down on the sofa.
"Who are you? Why are you here? How did you get here?" Adam bombarded her with questions.
"Slow down, Adam," Nathan said calmly, fetching a glass of water and handing it to her. "Now, tell us about yourself."
"I'm Kaya. I live near the lake," she replied, her voice shaky.
"What is the last thing you remember?" Nathan asked.
"I was with my friends in the woods. They left before me. I think I left that place too."
"Do you have any injuries?" Adam asked.
Kaya checked her body. "No...
so why did they cut me?" Adam confused about his wound in his hand.
"Who?" Kaya asked adam
"We don't know," they both replied unison,
Kaya's eyes widened with fear."Can I see your wound?" she asked Adam.
Adam showed her the scratch on his hand.
"I've seen this type of wound before. My people know about this," Kaya said.
"Who are your people?" Adam asked, intrigued.
"My family is very old. We do things no one would believe," Kaya explained.
"Spiritual healers," Nathan said, a note of recognition in his voice.
"Yes. How do you know?" Kaya asked, surprised.
"I'm a medical professional. I work at a pharmacy and heard about your family," Nathan replied.
Can't you guys speak like normal person, Adam asked both
They smiled
It's a like a faith healing. She can heal people with words. Nathan replied clearly.
"Can you heal me?" Adam asked, hopeful.
"No, I'm not good at that yet, and no one here does it anymore," Kaya said, standing up to leave.
"Where are you going?" Nathan asked.
"Home."
How you go? I drop you at your home, adam Said
They all get into Adam's car and drop Kaya at her place.
They reached Kaya's home
Okay bye, thankyou! kaya said.
Wait ..."you don't know how you go there and Adam was also found in the field near you. What is all this?" Nathan pressed.
"I don't know. Kaya replied
"I have a this feeling about you
that you know something about this" Nathan said this with confusion.I don't know, maybe you are, right. Maybe... someone in my family can explain," Kaya admitted.
"Can I come inside?" Nathan asked.
"Why?"
"To ask your family about this," Nathan said.
"Okay, but don't ask any other questions," Kaya warned.
"Hmm... okay," Nathan agreed.
"I'm coming too," Adam added.
They imagined her home like a spritual home but it's a simple house by the lake, surrounded by tall trees and wildflowers.
Kaya's mother came outside, her face etched with worry.
"Are you okay? What happened to you? Where were you last night?" she asked, hugging Kaya tightly.
"I'm okay. I don't know anything.
Her mom saw Nathan and adam suspiciously.
Mom These are my friends, they want to talk to Papa," Kaya explained."Come inside, all of you," her mother said, leading them into the house.
Kaya's father was in the living room, his face lighting up with relief when he saw her.
"Oh, Kaya, we were so scared. Where were you?" he asked, hugging her.
I'm good dad don't worry.
This is Adam and Nathan, dad they rescued me from the filed.
What happened? Kaya's dad asked curiously.
"Dad, I fainted in the field near the woods. Adam did too. We don't remember anything that happened at the night, and he has this wound. I think I've seen it somewhere before," Kaya explained.
Adam showed his wound to Kaya's father.
"Yes, I know this wound. What is your family name?" he asked Adam.
"What does my name have to do with the wound?" Adam asked, confused.
"Just answer, Adam," Nathan urged.
"Hart, sir. Adam Hart," Nathan replied for him.
"I knew your grandpa. Did you tell him about this?" Kaya's father asked.
"No, sir. He died a few weeks back," Nathan replied.
"Oh, he was a good man," Kaya's father said, nodding sadly.
"Sir, do you know anything about what's happening?" Nathan asked.
"It's nothing. Don't go into the woods at night. It's just a scratch from a tree. And you too, no more night stays at friends' houses," he said firmly.
If you know anything about this, please let us know, "Okay, sir. Thank you," Nathan said, as they all headed back home.
But Nathan didn't believe what he said,
He have very bad feeling about this too.
Nathan think kaya's father know all about this.Nathan go to work and adam stayed all day and do nothing just thinking about the night.
