Weapon roulette

We waited in town until sundown, it made me think of back home at the forest, but it also reminded me I had to blend in so I had to focus on not glowing. After the sun almost gone, we walked down an alley that was beside the local library, " it's this way,". " but this is just a dead end,". " just give it a minute."
Before the sun was all the way set a beam of it hit a light catcher that was hanging at the opening if the alley, the light catcher changed colors from red to blue, then it shined light down towards the end of it. A door imprint was revealed, and as Claire placed her hand on the imprint, it slowly became a physical door, and she quickly opened it. Once inside it looked pretty normal, it had a kitchen, a living room, bathrooms and bedrooms, the only thing I saw that was out of the ordinary was a picture in the wall, it was a door that had been painted on. " oh yes that's where we are going later," "why later," " because we are having dinner first," She walked into the kitchen and it was huge, it had enough cabinets to hide a small army, and as much food to feed them. Not to be mean, but even though the kitchen looks like it was built for a chef, it's somthing that Claire is not, Niya actualy pulled me aside and asked how stronge my stomach was, because I would have to try not to get sick afterwards, at first I just thought she was joking around, but then we hear a small boom from the kitchen, followed by Claire walking into the hall where we we standing, grabbing her swords and walking back in there," yeah be ready for this one it's a fighter.

After hearing what sounded like a struggle followed by some creepy silence, " dinners ready you two."
We sat down in the dinning room and I braced myself for whatever came through the kitchen door. She walked in hold a beautifully made turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, she even had some veggie stir fry, that's when Niya decided to lean over and whisper to me," oh no be very carful what you pick because it looks pretty, that means it may kill you," she sat back up and gave Claire alittle smile before asking her about it, " so this meal is less toxic then the last one I had if yours right," I couldn't believe she just plain up said it, I guess I gotta give her credit for being honest. " we'll dig in," I looked down at the plate in front of me but scooted it away," I'm sorry but all I eat are these," I held up some of the light fruit and she looked shocked for a minute but then let it go, I guess she was hoping I liked her food, but if it saves me from having to spend all night in toxic shock, then I'll just stick to my light fruit.

" alright now time to injure ya," I was stunned for a second before she laughed about it and walked over to the painted door, I'm not sure weather it's a special power she has or what but she later her had on the door and just as r real one the picture moved, we walked through into the darkness behind it.

It was quiet and dark, I couldn't even see the doorway behind us, "found it," I was about to ask what it was she found when bright lights flicked on and practically blinded me at first. My eyes adjusted, but I wasn't realy expecting what was there, the center area was basicly an arena, the sides were cover wall to wall with weapons, there was a stand in front that had a bunch of strange symbols on it, they were yellow but again I couldn't read this kind, all except for one blue one, and it read great forest, I didn't know if it was a way there or what but I ha a feeling I was going to find out. " okay so for now you pretty much suck compared to us, but we can help you atleast become only slightly lame at fighting," Niya says with a completely normal inocently smile, I'd hate to admit it but they do seem pretty good at it, especially from thier little display at the mall, but I know I can still hold my own. " ok so first off you'll have to learn how to power up, it's easy, basicly let out your energy and then use it."
At first I couldn't get it all I could do was glow, even though they showed me slowly and I actualy got a lol at thier forms, instead of glowing Niya looked as if black shadow energy radiated from her, and as for Claire she looked as though fire envelope her, they transitioned into thier powered up forms. I let out my glow an had focused on it, it wasn't easy but I got it, though I don't see the big deal all that changed was my clothes, and from what they said, my hair had turned white but nothing like theirs, Niya had purple leather that formed around her like armor, she had boots and bracers, as well as a mask and a small cloak that laid on her back; Claire's was a mix of metals and cloth, it had a chest plate, with iron braces and guards, but the connection between looked like regular cloth, but it was stronger then anything I've seen, yet I somehow ended up with thin cloth garments that had a draped cloak, nothing fancy, I think I got ripped off lol. " now before you learn how to summon a weapon, we gotta find out wich one your good with," she press the button on the arena and it suddenly changed to match a dessert oasis, then she handed me a sword and said good luck, Niya being as creepy as ever dropped down and got out her daggers, I blinked and ended up on the ground being held down by her blades, so sword was out. We tryed throw knives, daggers, shield, even whip, but they all failed the same way, me defeated, I had almost ha her with the spear but sadly ended the same way. They were getting annoyed at how bad I was, atleast that's how they said it, then I grabbed a fallen stick from the tree in the oasis and charged Niya, she faded out, and I slowed and spun it around quick and knocked her out of air as she reappeared, she launched three blades at my face and dove at me with daggers drawn, I knocked the blades away and pole vaulted over her, I also kicked her to the sand and landed at the ready, she got up with a smile," I guess this means I can fight you for real,". She ran at me and vanished, I spun it around to catch her but she didn't appear behind me, her laugh echoed and a blade flew passed my face leaving a cut on my cheek, " that's one, only 199 to go," I didn't know what she was talking about but they four blades came up out of the ground and cut my legs, I got tripped up and as I fell she sprinted by leaving two gashes on my arm. She caught me of guard with a razor trip line places at knea height, she appear within feet of me and made another attempt at me this time aiming for my throat, I used an energy burs to knock her off balance, then swipped her legs with the branch, she fell with a this as I brought it down into her back, only to find I was slamming into the sand, she had vanished again laughing. I was fire up and ready to fight, when Claire decided it was enough and turned off the arena , it went back to normal and Niya reappeared, " so the staff it is."
