Everywhere but home

It was amazing, there's these floating ships, like actual ships, it reminded me of a Viking movie, they kinda freaked me out though, mostly because they were operated by ghosts and skeletons, I felt like I was I a strange Halloween movie. I looked down over the edge as the ship began to float towards the castle, for one, there was no water, it was a strange fog but once you wave that aside you see that there is nothing, just a drop into a pit that was nothing but darkness, I'm not even sure there was a bottom to it.

Once inside I found that it was a while town inside of the castle, and there was stores and everything in there, it was beyond measuring. We had passed by vendors with goods and food, she even stopped and bought some, true it was odd, the fruit was dark blue and the juice was black inside, I didn't eat it, I got some of mine out of my bag, it wasn't much just alittle bit of animal skin stocked together, it would remind you of an Indian bag. The people looked at the berries I was eating like they had never seen if before, and I'll admit I thought rainbow glowing fruit was strange but they looked scared of it. Niya grabbed it and shove it back in my bag," don't show that you'll get attacked for somthing like light berries." I didn't question it and just followed her up to one of the buildings, I couldn't read the symbols here, they were jagged and crooked, it was in red and purple, I guess that's a common color here. " this is it, you can crash here till night, ". " you sleep during y'all's day," " yeah that's why I'm thier for y'all's, I like y'all's forest, plenty of little prey and shined things, lots of shiner things, well goodnight," she jumps onto a weird cushion thing and starts snoring, leaving another one in the corner open, so I lay down on the odd furniture and lay down, spirit lays beside me to help keep me warm and I slowly doze off.

I woke up to the sound of a door slamming, Niya walked in laughing with jewel, " what's so funny,". " you totaly slept through the night an misses the door,". " WHAT!!" " yep but no big deal just stay here I don't mind," I was angry but couldn't argue, but I couldn't just stay here, being inside was starting to bother me. I begged her to take me to an area I could walk and adventure and she laughed and said sure, though I her little giggle made me think somthing about it wouldn't be good. We went back out the way we came and through the cave, though when we got to the other side I was confused, she said it was just to the left but there was nothing there just the side of the mountain. " oh just go," she pushed and I braced for the rocks but passed through it and into a hidden cavern, it had been hidden some how to look like the rest of the mountain side.
We traveled into the cavern and stopped at was seemed like a little lake, but the water was a creepy shade of red, almost like blood and it had a whirlpool going in the center, and I had a bad feeling that was where she ment for us to go.

********Claire's pov********

Me and Sophie made our morning rounds, nothin new on the main front, and so far no reapers came into my section, pleasant view was a quiet little town, we were near Nashville but never had anyone major come here, I havnt seen any good action in over a month, things had gotten pretty boring. " let's go I don't think thier coming today, she would have been here by now," " just five more minutes then if she doesn't show we can leave,". I sat waiting by the lake, I havnt seen any of my friends since summer started, and I hadn't seen her since she transferred to shade haze, I know her class of wielder is a grim but she didn't have to just go, I have never been trained and I fight better then most. My five minutes were up and she hadn't showed, I was beginning to think she had forgotten about me, so I packed up the picnic I made and decided to leave, Sophie had just finished rolling up the blanket when the surface of the water cycloned upward to the shore, the slim dark haired girl I had called my best friend for many years had landed with her familiar, but they didn't come alone, I don't know who he was but a boy was with her, he looked like he hadn't seen a mirror in a while, his clothes were covered in dirt and torn up, his hair was overgrown and messy, and he landed like a swan, you know the kind that crash horribly into ground.

"Sorry I'm late I had alittle trouble getting this one into the vortex," I was going to speak up when Sophie practically assulted her, " you don't show up for months leaving her upset and all you can say is you had trouble from hom, where have you been,?" " get off before i freeze you solid," " I would roast you into ash before you even got the chance," I spoke up annoyed and beyond pissed," both of y'all shut up or I may get trigger happy with lightning," They both stop and look at me like I'm the bad guy here.

So I get kicked into a whirlpool, thrown into the ground, stepped on by a fox familiar, and now get to deal with these three fighting, maybe jewel should just eat me and out me out of my misery. " I would love to hear this all day but why did you bring me here,". " well this is the human world and besides, I think to could use a few things, a shower for one," as her friend keys in," and some clothes wouldn't hurt, oh and a hair cut, and....." I sigh and just know that I am not going to be getting back to the great forest any time soon.
