(quick side note: this is the next day so afterthe last chapter they all went to bed and tara went home)
Laurens POV:
I think today I'm meeting someone. Her name is Lilly? Lily? I don't know. Same thing anyway. I should probably get ready for the day. I get out of bed and open my closet. Wow I forgot that Tara and I went shopping yesterday. I pick out a Portals shirt that I got from hot topic and put it on. I go over to my dresser and grab some plain black shorts and put them on. I should probably do my makeup now. I go over to my vanity and start putting on some blush. I'll just do some simple makeup today. After the blush, I grab highlighter and put some on the tip of my nose and the inner corners of my eye. Now it's time for mascara. I can't live without mascara honestly. I finished putting on my mascara. I'll just finish it off with some lipgloss. Okay, I'm ready for the day now. Actually wait. I need to do my hair. I grab my brush and gently brush out my hair. I plug my straightener in and start sectioning my hair off. I do the bottom layer first then I make my way up to the top. Once I finish straightening my hair I usually put it up or I pull some hair up but I think I'll just leave it all down for today. I head to the bathroom and start brushing my teeth. If I'm meeting someone new, I need to look good so I give off a good impression. (idk what its like at an adoption center though but i'm just acting like your allowed to have phones there) I grab my phone and take a couple pictures because doesn't everyone take pictures of themselves when they look good? Anyway I'm hungry so I'm going downstairs. Jake's in the kitchen making breakfast. "Good morning." I say as I sit at the island in the kitchen. "Morning." Jake says. "Where's Dad?" I ask. "Uhm I think he's still sleeping. I'm not sure though." He says putting the food on a plate and handing it to me.

Lilys POV:
I just woke up at like 12 pm. Probably because I stayed up until 6 am playing roblox horror games. I need to stop doing that. You know what I'm fine. I'll just go downstairs and get something to eat. I get downstairs and I don't see either of my dads. I'll just make some eggo waffles in the toaster. I get on my phone while I wait for the waffles to be done. I open tiktok to see edits of me. Oh my gosh they just posted the video yesterday people are fast. I like a couple of them and comment on them. My waffles are finally done so I take them out of the toaster and put some butter and syrup on them. I start eating them and oh my god they are good!! I keep scrolling on tiktok and see an edit of Jake and Johnnie. I remember meeting them once. They're my dads friends and they came over like one time. They are the only ones who know about me actually. Well did know about me. But I think they have a daughter around my age. I'm pretty sure that's why their coming over. So they can get me and her to hang out. Whatever. I think she'll be cool. I finish my waffles and put the plate in the sink. I go upstairs and turn my light on. I turn my led lights off. I sit down at my vanity and brush my hair. I'll just wear it natural today. I put some makeup on. Mascara, then I curl my lashes, blush, and lipgloss. I put my bracelets on. A shark watch, seashell bracelet, a hair tie, a braided bracelet made of yarn, a white rock bracelet, and a pura vida bracelet for breast cancer. I put a cute 2 layer necklace on. One chain doesn't have anything on it but the other one has a ruby on it. I sit down on my bed and scroll on my phone. I'll just wait till someone comes in my room.

Sams POV:
I just woke up. Colby's arm is draped around my waist. I carefully move his arm off of me and get out of bed. I go to Lily's room to see if she's awake. I knock on the door. "Come in!" She yells. I open the door and see her sitting on her bed. "Morning sweetie. How long have you been up?" I ask. "Morning." She says as she puts her phone down. She continues on. "I've only been up for about 30 minutes. And I'm guessing you just got up." She says. "Yep I did just get up. And also don't forget that Jake and Johnnie are bringing their daughter over today." I remind her. "I know. What's her name again?" She asks. "I think it's Lauren." I say. "Okay." She says. "Did you want breakfast or something?" I ask. "Uhm no. I already ate some waffles." She says. "Oh alright." I say. I walk up to Lily and kiss her forehead. "I'll be downstairs if you need anything." I say. She smiles. "Okay." She says. I walk out of her room and go downstairs to make some coffee. While I'm making coffee I hear someone coming down the stairs and I see Colby. "Morning Babe." I say. He groans and wraps his arms around my waist. "What are you making?" He asks as he rests his chin on my shoulder. "Just some coffee. Want some?" I ask. "Sure." He says.

Jakes POV:
Johnnie and I have to bring Lauren to Sam and Colby's house soon. Things have been pretty awkward between us since we confessed and kissed... I hope we can work things out. Anyway. I have to go get Lauren from her room so we can leave. Johnnies in the living room, waiting to leave. I go upstairs and lightly knock on her door. "Yeah?" I hear her says. I open the door. "Hey uh we're leaving soon." I say. "Oh okay." She says as she gets off her bed. We both walk downstairs. I grab my car keys and look over at Johnnie on the couch. "Alright come on Johnnie." I say opening the front door. We all go to the car and start driving to Sam and Colby's house.

mini time skip

We arrived at Sam and Colby's house. Johnnie knocked on the door. Colby answers. "Hey guys!" He says. "Hey what's up." I say. Colby let's us into the house. Lauren follows behind us shyly. We were talking earlier this morning and she told me she had bad anxiety so she must be nervous to meet Lily. And also Sam and Colby. I hope she'll be okay. We follow Colby into the living room and see Lily and Sam sitting there. We all sit down. Lauren sits between me and Johnnie. I can sorta tell she's nervous. "Lily, why don't you show Lauren your room?" Sam says. I can see that both of them are nervous. "Oh uhm... sure..." Lily says. She stands up and Lauren stands up shortly after. They wander off to Lily's room.

Laurens POV:
I don't wanna be here I'm so scared. I really want to go home. What if she doesn't like me. I'm really scared. My hearts beating so fast right now. I feel so nervous. I might actually throw up. We just went upstairs to her room. "Sooo uhm you probably already know but I'm Lily." She says. "I'm Lauren..." I say shyly. "What do you want to do?" She asks. Oh shit. I hate when people ask me this. "Oh uhm I don't know..." I say. "Do you play roblox?" She asks out of nowhere. Yes I do but what if I say yes and she judges me. Like what if she doesn't but she's asking me to see if I'm weird. "Yeah..." I say. "Oh my gosh me too!" She says smiling. "Maybe that's what we could do... play roblox." I say. "Yes!! What's your user I'll add you." She asks.

time skip.

It's time for me to go. Atleast Johnnie says so. I say bye to Lily, Sam, and Colby. We get in the car and start going home. I actually had a good time with Lily. "Did you and Lily have fun?" Johnnie asks. "Mhm. I like her." I say. "That's good." Johnnies says. Soon enough we get home. I go up to my room and lay down in my bed. I get on my phone and get on tiktok. I see my crush posted a video. I quickly scroll and blush slightly. Just then I hear a knock on my door. "Come in!" I yell. Jake opens the door and comes over to my bed. He sits down beside me. "What are you doing?" He asks. "Nothing just scrolling on tiktok." I say. "Oh. Anything interesting come up?" He asks. "No not really. Well actually... My crush posted a video." I say. I blush just thinking about him. "Oh reallyyy. Who is it?" Jake asks smiling. "It's some guy from my school... he's in 8th grade so he's a year above me. His names Connor." I say slightly blushing. "Oooh he's older then you? What's he look like?" He asks, getting curious. "Well to me he's super cute. He has dirty blonde hair. Brown eyes. A really pretty smile. And he's friends with a bunch of jerks." I say "Well if you like him, you like him. But he's friends with jerks? Why?" He asks. "Well he himself is kinda a jerk... but I still like him." I say. "Wait he's a jerk?" Jake asks. "Yeah..." I say. "Well... he better not be a jerk to you." Jake says. "He's not..." I say. "Okay good." He says.
