The sun rose on the Tree of Life. All the animals were waking from their slumber, and all the nocturnal animals were settling down to rest for the day. Sun rays glimmered across the land, lighting up tree after tree. The weak breeze danced its way round the leaves and branches of each individual tree.
Makini walked down into the tree, accidentally waking up Kion.
"Oh, sorry Kion, I didn't mean to wake you up. I can go if you want." She said apoligetically.
"No, it's ok Makini, its nearly time to get up anyways." Kion replied, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Ok Kion, I'll come back in a couple minutes after you two wake up." Makini said, turning around and walking back out the tree.
"See you in a bit Makini!" Kion called out to her. Now Kion had a task that he thought could turn into some fun. He had to wake up Rani, and he was brainstorming some ideas to wake her up in a hilarious fashion.
"I know, I'll shout as if an emergency is happening, that'll scare her." He said to himself, grinning at his plan.
He slowly stood up, doing his best to not wake Rani up, walked over towards the enterance of the tree and shouted as loud as he could shout.
"Rani, we have trouble, wake up, wake up! Quickly!" He shouted. Obviously with all of the noise Rani woke up, and she was quite clearly shook.
"Trouble, where? What's happened? Is everyone ok?" She asked worriedly, getting up off the rock and ran towards Kion. Kion started to laugh, realising his plan had worked.
"Why are you laughing? Oh... wait... your mean, I hope you know that!" Rani said in total embarressment. She pinned Kion down and decided to take revenge.
"Now, where's your tickle spot? That'll teach you to make me scared like that!" Rani asked sarcastically. She moved her paw to under Kion's armpit and tickled him.
"Aah..., Rani... stop it... please!" Kion pleaded, laughing non stop.
"I'm waiting for my apology first." She responded, tickling even faster than before.
"Ok, ok... sorry..., please just... let me up," Kion apologised, still laughing and squirming about, trying to get free.
"There we go, thank you!" Rani said, unpinning Kion. Kion got up and pulled a rather annoyed face at her, who smirked back, as he doesn't really like being tickled, especially on his armpits.
"Come on, we've got to go and have the morning meet up with the Day and Night Pride." Rani said, leading out of the tree.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Kion replied, chuckling.
As they exited the tree, the saw the Night Pride, finishing up their patrol. But there was no sign of the Day Pride yet.
"I wonder where the Day Pride is. Its not like them to be late for anything." Kion said, confused at the lateness of his friends.
"I know, when you were getting your scar healed, they were never late." Rani replied, looking around. Kion spotted Ullu flying towards them from the mountain pass.
"Ullu, where is the Day Pride?" He asked as Ullu landed.
"That's why I'm here, the Day Pride needs help at the mountain pass. There's lots of lions attacking." Ullu told the royal couple.
"What?" Kion said in disbelief.
"Ullu, go and get the Night Pride, we could use their help aswell." Rani ordered, joining Kion, who was sprinting off towards the mountain pass.
Kion and Rani arrived at the mountain pass and what stood before them was an unexpected sight. They both stood there stunned, as there was about 15 lions fighting the Day Pride, with another two lions sheltering behind the Day Pride.
"This is worse than I thought," Kion admitted, thinking for a plan, and fast.
"I'm with you with that... So, what's the plan?" Rani replied, turning to face him. Kion surveyed the battleground and decided only one plan had a good chance of succeding.
"I've got a plan, but you won't be needed." Kion explaned. "I'm pretty much forced to use the roar in a situation like this." He added.
"To be completely honest, I was going to say the same thing, there is too many lions, even with the Night Pride and your parents coming to help." Rani told him.
"Yeah." He agreed. "Anga!" He called. Anga flew over to Kion and Rani and hovered in the air.
"What's up Kion?" Anga asked.
"Round up the guard. And those two lions, I'm going to use the roar." He ordered.
"Yep." She said, flying back to deliver the new orders. She went from one member of the Day Pride to the next, and eventually they were all standing behind Kion. Apart from the two lions. They refused to follow Anga and the Day Pride, as they didn't trust them yet. Kion couldn't wait much longer and decided to act quickly.
"Hey you two lions down there! Brace now!" He shouted at them, about to roar. For once, they cooperated and braced for something they didn't expect. ROAR. Kion roared at the lions who were attacking the Tree of Life, and blasted them outside the realm.
"OHHH, NOW THAT WAS A ROAR!" Bunga celebrated, punching the air like usual. Kion nodded at his best friend, acknowledging his excitement of roar.
"Are you lot ok? That was a lot of lions..." Kion asked, turning to face the group.
"Yeah, I think we're ok." Fuli answered.
"That's good. Anyways, lets check up on the two lions that were down here." Kion said, walking down the mountain pass.
