A Rough Injury

Previously,

Silver had begun training with his telekinesis whilst Mephiles was away, in search of the Time Stones. Silver's wrists locked up while he was trying to carry a large rock, and his telekinesis had malfunctioned.

Silver's vision had gone dark as a sharp ring went through his ears, the noise piercing his skull. He couldn't feel anything, just for a brief moment.

It's so numb...

His heartbeat was throbbing in his ears, his breathing was ragged and deep, the feeling of pins and needles poking his skin started to spread, and he could feel how the pebbles on the ground dug into his palms to a point where they hurt, but all those observations paled in comparison to the horror he felt as his vision became clearer, focusing his gaze on the blood covering the fur on his leg. His heart skipped a beat as he noticed the abnormal bend on his calf. Tears streamed down Silver's cheeks as his breath was caught in his throat from shock.

Is his leg broken...? Really broken?

It felt almost like his leg wasn't even there, considering how numbed it was from the adrenaline, but the whiplash from the collision was still painful enough for silver to let out a rugged inhale as he leaned forward, followed by a sharp sob of pain.

My leg... Damn it... I can't feel my leg...

Tears fell, dampening his chest fur. He felt nauseous just looking at the blood soaked and broken leg. His chest felt tight, almost suffocatingly so.

Mephiles... Where's Mephiles?

Silver knew that Mephiles might not come back soon. Hell, it could take hours. Relying on Mephiles wouldn't work this time, it could just lead to more issues. He needed to do this on his own.

Silver anxiously transfixed his gaze on the fracture in his shin. He set his hands on his knee, letting out a distressed wince, since every movement felt torturous. The markings on his palms lit up, and the glow traveled up his arm. He needed to focus, or he'd only mess himself up more.

Snap!

"Aa-aah-AAAAAGHHH-!!!!!" Silver threw his head back as he let out a guttural roar of pain, before biting his bottom lip hard enough to draw blood. The salty and metallic taste filled his mouth, which was a distraction from the pain of realigning his bone, albeit an unwelcome one.

His breathing was rapid and shallow, he couldn't slow it down. Everything felt blurry, fuzzy.

Silver woke up, his body feeling stiff and achy. His eyes opened slowly, and found his muzzle comfortably nestled against a familiar shoulder.

"M... Meph... Mff..." Silver moved his gaze to Mephiles, but just the simple action of turning his head made him grimace in pain with a sharp inhale.

"What happened?" Mephiles asked, before shaking his head. "Never mind, that's a question for later."

Silver's eyes were half lidded as he gently pressed his face against Mephiles' shoulder. "When'd... you get..." He let out a sore wince at an accidental movement he'd made. "... h-here..."
