A tear slid down Cedric's cheek and splattered onto the sheets , wiping his eyes with his sleeves Cedric sniffed and laid down on his bed. He snuggled into the stuffed teddy bear he kissed it and closed his eyes. "What’s have I done?" Cedric whispered to the bear, trying to fall asleep. Cedric tossed and turned, and he punched his pillow several times . He mumbled Harry's name into the pillow, and he bolted up from his dream his body was soaked in sweat that he gasped for fresh air.

How he wished that Harry would nuzzle into him and gently soothe him with his voice , heart thumping loudly in his chest Cedric gulped down his sadness and fell back asleep.

The next morning...

Cedric woke up and was in a hurry he was late for class, dressing quickly and gathering his things he shoved his quill, ink, and parchment into his satchel. before he left, he combed his fingers through his messy hair and fixed his tie, tying his shoelaces Cedric bolted out the door and into the hallway.

Harry walked to class with his head down and headphones on all the way up. Since the breakup, he'd taken in new hobbies such as learning to play guitar. It hadn't been easy to forget all the pain and loss he suffered, but he had to  move on somehow. He kept his head down and walked slowly to class as soon as he looked up for a short second of time. Harry crashed into something that felt like a brick wall.

"Hey!, watch where you're going," Harry heard him say shoot and saw all his contents spill all over the ground, looking up and taking off his headphones he blushed brown eyes and met his. "Sorry I didn't see you there. I'm in a rush, as you can see." Cedric gestured  to the mess around them.

"My bad, I didn't see where I was going because I was listening to music." Harry bent down and helped Cedric gather his things , there was only one item left for both of them to reach. Thire  fingertips touched at the same time Harry blushed, quickly pulling his hand away,  ignoring the spark that ignited in the pit of his stomach.

Cedric bit his bottom lip. "I was wondering if..." Then shut his mouth .Harry knew exactly what Cedric was about to say "no I'm not walking you to class. You're on your own. Deal with it. "

Cedric was shocked to the core at his exs choice of words,  Harry was sweet and kind , not this bitter , empty, and soulless person of darkness. He really wanted to slap the shit out of him, but the thought of slapping him made Cedric shiver in disgust. It was clear to Harry that he wanted nothing to do with Cedric at all.

Once all his belongings were collected, they walked separate ways Cedric turned his head to see if Harry looked back, every time Harry would just check out his bum. Not this time. Harry kept walking ahead and not looking back.

Ouch, that's rough.

Cedric sighed and continued to walk to his own class, alone and hand free, and also with a lump in his throat where his heart used to be. Once he was in class, he sat in his usual spot by the window and opened his satchel to retrieve his ink and quill. He scribbled down notes on what the professor was saying and made sure to clear all the mistakes and thoughts of that person out of his mind.

But it was much harder than Cedric thought it would be. No matter how hard he tried to focus on the subject, he was meant to be learning instead drifted off to the safe corner in his mind. And that safe place was Harry,  "dam you, Potter. " Cedric whispered harshly under his breath.

"What was that , Mr Diggory?" Professor McGonagall said and gave him a look from under her glasses."n- nothing." Cedric stuttered nervously in front of the whole class. "As I thought, now where was I? Oh yes, the history of transfiguration." She wiped her glasses and continued to speak.

As she continued to speak, Cedric's mind kept drifting to Harry. He jiggled his thigh up and down as he tried to settle himself down "its almost over. it's almost over." He said quietly to himself. When class was over, Cedric was the first to leave, bolting out of his seat he rushed out of the class and into the library.

Cedric found a spot near the corner and began to read, breathing in through his nose, and out of his mouth, Cedric closed his eyes and counted to three aloud." 1,2 -"
"Ahem," Hermoine cleared her throat, and the noise made Cedric jump out of his seat.

Cedric placed a hand over his heart to calm himself down " jesus fucking christ,  don't do that!" He snarled and ran his fingers through his messy hair. " Sorry about that. I just wanted to talk to you about something. "

Cedric knew exactly what she meant, sat up, and started to walk away from her quickly, " I just realised that I have to go to quidditch training. So, there is no time to stop and chat." Cedric started to walk.

"Cedric, please, it's about Harry. " Hermoine begged. Cedric stopped in his tracks and sighed. " Whatever he has to say, I'm not interested." He grumbled at Hermione.

"Why not?"

He clenched his fists tightly and backed her into the wall, staring directly into her eyes. " Listen, Granger, and listen really good to what I have to say." Hermoine nodded her head quickly and didn't dare to interrupt him." he had his chance to get back with me, and he blew it. So right now I don't give a fuck about what he has to say, he can fuck his new boyfriend for all I care."

"But-" Hermoine started but Cedric placed a finger over her lips to hush her " I want to love him again, but I can't. " was all he said and turned away, leaving Hermoine to think long and hard about what he said.

Cedric's heart was aching and felt like it was about to shatter into a million pieces,  but right now he really didn't give a fuck.

All he wanted was to be left alone.
