Destiny waits by the library window looking out, waiting for something.

"You think he will make it back" Destiny asked looking at Lukas who is laying on the couch. "I don't know, Shawn said the next few days would be the hottest it's been in years, he's a demon he'll be fine they have heat resistant" Lukas moves a little so he could look at Destiny.

"Plus I bet him some good that he couldn't be back in 20 minutes, it's been 17 already so if he's not back it's a win, win either way" Destiny stares at Lukas, almost disappointed.

Lukas just stares back. "what?" He says. "Nothing, forget it" Destiny turns back to the window and sees a figure approaching.

The figure busts the door open and enters the heat from outside creeps in, Lukas and Destiny feel the heat creeping up to them. Kai turns back and slams the door shut.

Kai goes back first into the door and slides down. "it's so hot, water I need water" Destiny tosses Kai a water container.

Lukas who is now sitting up watching from the couch, checks the time. "Damn it so close" Destiny hears this and glares at Lukas. Lukas noticed and looked back, trying to seem confused. "What" He said nervously.

Kai stands back up, and looks around. "Where's Shawn?" He asked. "Shawn left 6 minutes ago, he said he had something to do" Destiny answered.

"Huh he didn't tell me he had a meeting today" Kai looks out the window. "Well maybe he just forgot" Destiny said with a shrug. "Maybe, but it's unlike him he usually tells me If he's going to go to a meeting" Kai thought.

"He never said he was going to a meeting just that he had something to do, Im sure he's fine" Destiny takes the empty container Kai had set down and left.

Kai walks over to the couch and sets himself on the other side. "So Lukas right?" Kai said jokingly, he knew his name but they don't talk that much cause Lukas doesn't like Kai.

Lukas didn't reply and just fixed himself sitting forward. Kai leans forward looking at Lukas. "Do you hate me?" Kai asked.

Lukas again did not reply. Kai sighed and played back on the couch. Kai looked up to the ceiling. "So what's your family like or is destiny your only family" this came out of nowhere, but Lukas didn't reply, he did hesitate.

Both sat there in silence. "What's your family like" Lukas asked. Kai looks over it Lukas. "Well like I said before, my mom was never in the picture, my dad took care of me before selling me, other then that there's not much else, my mom was a demon sorcerer, that's what my dad told me, my dad was a just a demon" Kai looked down staring at the ground.

"So do you have any magical properties?" Lukas asked. "I can only use simple fire spells, thats all with out a core I can't use string fire magic" Lukas tilted his head. "A core?"

"Yes magic users have cores that allow them to use powerful magic, with out a core most people sho try to use magic are hard and injured or are even killed, humans can never use magic in anyway as the power is to strong for there body's to use, which will kill them" kai continues on about some other things related to cores. Lukas started thinking, he never knew about cores and he was curious.

"Do cores have a sort of limit?" Lukas asked. "As far as I'm aware no I've seen Shawn use massive and powerful magic back to back over and over agin and he never seems tired after using it" Kai thought about it. "The only time I've seen him ever struggle is when he got really sick, and even then he was still casting large and strong magic"

"But hey let's get back to my question, I answered yours so now you answer mine, what's your family like" Kai said with interest

"My family" Lukas looks down and clenches his fist. "I don't know who they are, it's odd but my farthest memory is meeting Destiny in the desert and her taking me with her, maybe I have memory loss or something but that's the oldest memory I can think of" Lukas kept looking down, he was trying to remember anything from his past, maybe something that shows him something about his family, but nothing.
