Act- 2 chapter 7

Xander walks, Kai following behind him trying his best to keep up with his father's walk. "Father what's wrong, what does this mean, what do we do" Xander dist answer he was lost in thoughts. "Father please will Shawn be okay, will he be alright" Kai was worried nervous terrified. "I'm not sure if the message Kim gave us was true we don't have much longer until Talin attacks Lukewit with Shawn as their prisoner he might die in the crossfire." Kai stops and steps back.

"Shawn will be alright, he will survive I've known Shawn for a long time he won't die..." Kai stares at Xander. "Them why are you so nervous!" Kai shouts out of worry. "Cause it's not just Shawn that's an entire kingdom a whole kingdom not just Shawn, Shawn may survive but Lukewit won't!" He shouted. Both were silent after that just staring at each other. "Kai... Just go it's late and I'm tired the meeting will take place tomorrow and I don't want you or your friends to interfere with anything so just stay in your rooms until I say you can leave, this meeting is very important..." Xander walks away sighing and mumbling before he leaves.

Kai stands there in the castle hall, he didn't know what to think, was Shawn in danger, it wasn't only him there were also other people in danger, he didn't know what to do. He stand there looking at his hands shake out of fear. "It'll be alright... It'll be alright right?" Kai held his head as he looked down. "Kai?" A voice spoke. Kai turns around he sees Kim standing there, they had to put a brass on her wing when she landed she damaged it pretty badly, he had other injuries but none to badly.

"Why are you walking you should be resting." Kai said walking over to her. "I know but you and your dad were arguing outside my room and I heard everything just wanted to see if you were alright?" Kim said holding onto the door frame as she was still weak. Kai looks at her then back down.

"I'm just scared... I'm scared Shawn's in danger, that Lukewit in danger of the kingdom doesn't come together, then Lukewit's in danger, Destiny and Lukas home will be in danger, what if it falls what them I don't know what I would do if lukewit fell, to my mother no less... And with Shawn still captured there..." Kai's vices started cracking as tears started swelling in his eyes.

Kim had a sad express on her. She stumbled over and hugged Kai. Her wing spread out and covered Kai. "It's okay we'll figure something out, I'm sure of it..." Kim was afraid to but they had all been so supportive when she was afraid she wants to pay it back. "Thanks I needed this..." Kai continues to cry. Kim pats him on the back. "Alright well it's late so I'm off to bed, ill see you tomorrow" kim says as Kai leaves.

Kai walks down the halls, he had alot on his mind but took a breath and calmed down. He hears something and looks forward seeing Lukas trying to grab something. "Lukas?" Kai said. Lukas hets spoked and jumps slightly. "Wh- huh... Where did you come from how long have you been there" Lukas says nervously. "I just got here, why?"

Lukas looked nervous. "No reason..." He said sweating. "Your hiding something aren't you" Lukas looked even more nervous. "Well never mind that, I wanted to say thanks for I guess trying to save me earlier, I didnt think you'd actually do anything like that, I mean you've always told me you don't trust me so it was a shock" Kai said trying to joke around. Lukas looked away almost sad.

"Yeah well Shawn kinda changed my perspectives on things, when he said that he'd promise to keep lukewit safe, that he promised mine and Destiny's family wouldn't be hurt, I realized that you and Shawn weren't going to betray us, i mean Shawn dodnt have to promise us that, but he did and I guess after that I realized it" Lukas shruggs. "I trust you alroght but not to a big extent, I just don't wont repeats to happen"

Kai tilted his head. "Lukas let's pick up on that one conversation we had awhile ago, why don't you trust me?" Lukas was hesitant but honestly he thought about it, they've lived with Shawn and Kai for about two months now, and they've done nothing to show betrayal. "Me and Destiny we were well travelers and we were wanted in alot of places and well we had to get help from other people, and we'll we got to close and they betrayed us, it happens again and again, it got to paint where I swore I wouldn't trust anyone anymore, Destiny she still had hope that there was people who actually weren't against us..." Lukas looks into the darkness.
