The Realms

Act- 2 chapter 6

Kai walks forward looking back at the tired demon, following behind him. "Were finally here Kai" Kevin said exhausted falling over onto the ground. "We only called for like four days real will you?" Kai hears the gate higher. He looks back seeing Steven stand there. "Steven?" Kai said confused. "I was supposed to meet you awhile ago but things came up... Come on in prince, your father's been waiting for you" Kevin shoots up from the ground. "Prince!?" Kai chuckles nervously.

"Uh yeah I never told you huh..." Kevin glares at Kai. "You said your father was a blacksmith!" Kai chuckles. "Well I mean... did I?" Kevin sighs and gets up before walking past Steven and patting him on the back. "He's all yours, I got to go talk with the king about something" Steven looks to Kai. "The king isn't too happy with you kai" Steven said.

"Yeah well I don't care... I have my reasons to be here seeing him isn't really one" Steven stares at Kai. "I know that's a lie" Kai scoffs and walks past Steven. "Kai the kingdom is split, having you could actually bring it together so we can help in the war" Kai stops. "Kai you can't keep running, sooner later Abigail will attack Lukewit and people will be in danger" Kai didn't turn around he looked down and looked around.

"There's no excuses to be found here Kai, you're here now, you must follow through and bring your kingdom together for the future of many" Steven turns slightly so Kai is just barely in his field of vision. "I don't have to do anything... You people need to get along with yourself" Kai walks off.

"It would be easier if the people knew about their prince returning it would bring morale up, and you could easily convince them to help" Kai ignores him and continues walking. "The kiniko people should choose that for themselves" he mumbles.

Word spreads quickly about Kai's arrival, people on the streets cheating and praising Kai, Kai ignored all of it. He walks past a group of people. "Did ya hear the run away prince return, probably here to beg for forgiveness" one chuckled. "Probably gonna ask for gold or jewelry" more snickered. "We don't need no run away prince, he'll run away soon as he gets pressured just like before."

Kai ignored them and walked up to the castle. He pushes open the large doors and walks in seeing his father sitting on his throne. Everyone was out, Destiny was still trying to figure out the spellbook, Kim was flying around and Jasper was performing in the town square, Lukas was the only one there he was hiding in the shadows watching things unfold.

"Kai..." Xander says coldly. "Father, I need to ask something" Xander stands. "No, you don't get to ask any questions, I'm the one who's gonna ask questions..." He walks towards Kai. "That's not how this wor-" Xanders blade scrapped across the floor
"Father...!?" Kai said surprised he walked back but the doors shut behind him. Lukas watches nervously.

"Wait father, I'll answer your questions just hold on!" Xander brings his blade down and it lands next to Kai. Kai was left unharmed but confused he looks to the balde next to him seeing his reflection. "I'm confused now?" Xander leaves his blade and steps back. "You really thought I'd kill my own son..." Xander says turning his head to find a blade to his neck. Lukas stood there behind Xander, holding the blade to his neck.

"Maybe..." Lukas says disappearing back into the shadows. "Your friend is certainly something..." Xander says walking back to his throne. "I'm still confused...?" Kai said, still shaken to the core and not moving. "Well I can't hear you if you don't move closer son" Kai cautiously moved closer.

"Now like I said, you don't get to ask questions, I want answers and your gonna give them to me" kai nods willingly. "Why'd you run" he said straight forward. "Wow okay starting of strong" Kai said nervously. He sees his father's impatient glare.

"Cause you and mother always fought, and niether of you even noticed how it affected everything in my life, and honestly I just didn't want to be prince, I wanted to live a normal life away from all the royalty and away from all the pressure" Xander looked at Kai curiously. "So you wanted to live a normal life?" Kai nods.

"Why, your royalty you could do whatever you want!?" Kai sighs. "The pressure and being seen as nothing more then a weapon of gain didn't feel like royalty or freedom, I didn't want any of it, I wanted to leave it behind, so I did" Xander listened he wanted to understand but couldn't. "Well your back now, that all that matters"

"I'm not here to stay, father I'm just here for answers" Xander expected this. "No your staying, I need you right now, your importance is far greater then whatever your planning, out kingdom is falling apart"

"Your kingdom..." Kai corrected. "No ours, it's time you take some responsibility, and stand by my side as prince to bring out kingdom back together, we have a war to stop, plus I know about your allegiance with the other chosen, you want to help Destiny, this is how you can do it" Xander looks to his side seeing Lukas standing in the shadow.

"And you, it's only a matter of time before it takes you, so I'd do as much as I can in your short time" Lukas glares at Xander. "Kai your forbidden from leaving the kingdom for now on" Kai frowns. "Who let's you decide that, but it's fine I won't be leaving anytime soon anyway..." Kai turns and leaves. Xander stares him down. "You'll have to take responsibility sooner or later, I don't have much longer myself Kai" Kai stops, his expression turns to mixed feelings of saddness and anger.

"So..." Kai mumbled before leaving the thorns room. Lukas looks back and forth between Xander and Kai. "Do you deal with that alot" Xander asked Lukas. Lukas shrugs and leaves. Xander sighs and looks up. "This war is dawning and I'm not closer to bring my kingdom together" he mumbled somethings.

Kai walks out the castle walls island into the kingdom. Lukas follows behind catching up to him. "You didn't tell us your dad was the king?" Lukas swallowed beside Kai. "Had no reason to, it didn't seem like note-worthy information" Kai said annoyed. "Are you kidding me, your dad's the king of the kingdom that could decide my kingdom's fate how is that not note-worthy information!?" Kai stops and glares at Lukas.

"Why are you following me don't you hate me!?" Lukas shrugs. "I mean yeah but again you kinda decide whether my home lives to see another day or not so..." Lukas says. "I'll do what I can I don't want either of your homes getting destroyed... Just give me a moment of alone time"

"You've had your alone time for four whole days, you ran away and left Talin, you got Shawn worried sick, and not to mention right now Shawn is captured by Lukewit!" Kai looks at Lukas. "What?"

"Abigail set up wanted posters in Lukewit, and they captured Shawn." Suddenly Kim comes swooping down landing in front of the two. "Kim!" Lukas shouts going to her. "You okay!?' Kim nods she had only minor injuries.

"I have a message from Lukewit..." Lukas and Kai look at each other.
