The Realms

Act- 2 chapter 4

It was late, the moon was shining and guards were patrolling. A hooded figure was perched on top of a wall. Destiny stares down the library. She was about to jump into action. "What are you doing out so late?" Lukas said. Destiny spooked fell off and landed in a pile of hay. "Where did you come from?" Destiny says pulling herself out of the hay. "I was just doing my midnight stroll and saw you thought you were an assassin or something for a moment until I recognized the cloak" Lukas jumped off landing in front of destiny.

"Why are you sneaking around?" Lukas looked behind him seeing the building that said library with big bold letters. "Ah, I see" Lukas helps Destiny up. "Trying to break in?" Destiny laughed nervously. "Yeah thought as much" Lukas examines the library entrance seeing only two kiniko guards at the door. "We could sneak into that open window" Lukas says pointing to the open window on the second floor.

"Oh yeah that makes things a lot easier" Destiny dust herself off and climbs back up the wall. "Your actually going to do it?" Lukas said baffled. "Well yeah...?" Destiny said awkwardly. "Is something wrong?" Lukas sighs and punches the bridge of his nose. "Destiny, I don't think sneaking and breaking into the library of the people that we are trying to get to trust us so they can help us in a war is a good idea, they hardly trust us as of now if they catch you they'll have even less reasons to trust us"

"When did you become the worried type?" Destiny said standing on top of the wall. "I've always been a worried type, there a reason I don't trust Kai all to much, of Kim or Jasper" Destiny looks down at Lukas. "Really you still don't trust them fully?"

"No of course I don't, you can never be yo cautious" Lukas crosses his arms. "Paranoid much?" Frstiy. Said walking along the wall. "There's nothing wrong with that" Lukas said following her on the ground.

"You have to at least trust Lukas and Shawn, they've helped us so much" Destiny said balancing on the wall. "And I'm grateful for there help but I'm still going to be cautious" Destiny sighs and knows well this isn't going to end anytime soon. "Alright you're right, I shouldn't sneak into the library..."

"Oh you listened, that's a first" Destiny smiles. "While your watching..." She said with a evil grin. "What was that?" Lukas said. Destiny cast a spell and ice froze over his legs. "Hey!" He shouted. "Sorry Lukas but I'm curious" Destiny quickly makes her easy up the library and I to the window she looks back out to Lukas and waves.

"I swear when I get you on the morning I'm gonna kill you!" He shouted. "Hey keep it down and head to your rooms it's to late for you to be out" a guard shouted. Lukas sighs and looks at his frozen legs. "Want to give me a little help?" The guard sighs and using his sword chips away at the ice.

°" Geez the wound still hurts like hell, infact it's starting to hurt a lot more I need to be careful "°

Lukas freed his legs and leaves, he looks back to the window that was now closed, she sees a lady claiming it and locking it before going to the next window and locking it. "Oh boy she's gonna get in trouble..."

"Hey get moving!" The guard shouted. "Alright, alright I'm going!" Lukas shouts before leaving. "Darn kids always sneaking around..." One guard said. "You do realize that wasn't a demon right that was one of the king's guests?" The other guard went pale. "What!"

Destiny wanders around, she grabs a book and starts reading it, she hears something fall over she looks through a gap on the bookshelf seeing a lady picking up some books that have fallen over. Destiny watches from behind the books keeping track of her every move.

The lady leaves, walking downstairs. Destiny sighs and walks back a little.

"Just who might you be?" A voice said. Destiny jumps slightly turning around seeing the lady standing there with her arms crossed. "I don't recognize you..." She says. "Uhh well you see..."

"Oh you're the king's guest!" She snaps her finger once she remembers. "Oh welcome to my library, I thought they weren't allowing anyone in, I guess you must be a special case" the lady puts some books back. "Go ahead have a look around, you can leave your bag there on the table downstairs" she says going back to placing books back.

Destiny walks down stairs, she takes in the large and lively library. It was odd but it looked much bigger than it did from the outside. "Shocking isn't it, the size difference?" The lady said appearing behind Destiny, again Destiny jumps getting spooked by her. "Oh my goodness you can't just do that" she says.

"Oh sorry, I just haven't had anyone in the library for the past couple days" she says with a nervous smile. "It's okay" Destiny says placing her bag down, she goes and looks around seeing thousand's of books maybe even more.

"Wow this place is filled with book, there's some even from the wizard archives, this must be where some of the missing books went" Destiny slides her finger across the books spines. "Yes it certainly is, I've always loved books for there impressive story's and way of telling them, I mean look at all of them there's thousands of books here each telling different stories" the lady grabs one. "This one for example explains a hero stuck in a loop, this on tells of a myth of dragons' this one..." Her voice fades as she gets further away.

Destiny looks to her bag, there was another reason she came to a library other than knowledge. "Miss book keeper?" She asked searching through her bag. "Yes Hun?" She said softly. "Can you tell me something about this book" Destiny pulls out her spell book, showing it to the lady. "Why, I'm shocked I thought such a book no longer existed..." She took a closer look at it. "Yes this is one, my eyes don't deceive me"

"What, what is it?" Destiny asked. "This is very powerful spell, book the strongest even, these books stopped creation just before a warlock era of magic, not only that but if assuming this book is the real deal it's one of the first that was ever created in there era" the lady looks closer. "Just were did you get this young lady?" Destiny takes the book back and places it away. "A friends of mines you could say"

"Destiny this book, it's no toy or magic item that shouldn't be taken lightly this book is the very reason Scin is a desert that book belonged to the warlock Oswald" Destiny looks to the book staring at it. She knew, she knew from the moment she grabbed it, it belonged to Oswald she keeps it cause the moment she touched it memories that didn't belong to her flooded in, they were there for only mere moments but they were there none the less. "Thank you for your time, that's all I wanted to know" Destiny puts the book away on her bag.

"Destiny... You must lock the spell book and stop using magic from it, it'll only cause pain to those around you" the lady said. Destiny didn't know what to say.

"I'll do my best but as a witch I rely on my magic so I can't promise I won't use it" Destiny turns and leaves. The lady watches as she leaves. Destiny stops the guard from seeing her through illusion magic.
