Year E3029

Stopper fell down the stairs into the secret room as Thomas and I ran toward the exit. His bloodshot eyes gazed over us as he stumbled into a stance.
"What did you find?" Wyatt asked from the door, not phased from the weed they smoked.
"Yes," Dylan's voice echoed from the dark as he walked out from behind a pod. "What did you find?"
I unfolded the drawing and held it up for them to see it. Smiling from Dylan to Wyatt, I glared at Becca as she squinted at the parchment. Wyatt held her up while she stayed attached to his hip.
"A drawing of orange snakes," Stopper said, ripping the drawing from my hand. "Dope."
Thomas gently removed the paper from Stopper and handed it back to me. I shoved Stopper away and walked to Wyatt.
"It's another clue from my dad," I said before pointing at the drawing. "This is his handwriting, and it's a field of rust grass."
"Jump into the night sky," Wyatt read the clue, scratching his chin. "What do you think it means?"
"I think we need to figure out which field, and once there, we will know what the clue means."
"Perfect," Wyatt replied. "I think we should get back to Safforia before our presence on the Nus attracts the wrong company."
I folded the drawing and placed it in my pocket. Dylan patted my back with a smile and nod. Wyatt lifted a dizzy Becca into his arms. We walked out of the room and down the hallway toward the craft. The Nus whistled from broken pipes while the lights flickered. Dylan and Stopper trailed behind us while Dylan attempted to keep Stop wandering in a straight line.
Thomas strolled to a vast window, stopping at the glass and placing his hand on the surface. I followed behind him and saw Safforia floating in the blue sky. Orange clouds swirled around the outer areas while the purple planet glowed near the City of Cerise. The sun shined bright, illuminating streams of light.
"Beetle back ride!" Stop yelled before he jumped onto Dylan's back and waved his arm above his head.
"Shove off, Stopper!" Dylan yelled, shaking him off until he plopped onto the floor. "We need to get going. I want to be at the right rust grass before nightfall." He looked at the delinquent on the floor. "Get up."
Stopper brought his hand to his head and saluted him as Dylan walked away. I held my hand out to Stop and helped him up. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and dragged his feet with Thomas and me down the hallway.

Camp Corn Pops buzzed with outer insects as the heat increased. The craft fit between the trees and a boulder, hiding from any MOS brave enough to enter the forbidden forest. Becca slept in the cave while Stopper chugged a bottle of pink city water. The rosy liquid dripped down his front shirt before he stripped it off.
