Befriending The Living Nightmare

C'mon y/n, just get it over and done with!

I run out of my shared room with Justin and head to Aidan's. Before I could turn around, I knocked on his door.

What the hell am I getting myself into?

"y/n?" I turn around to see Aidan standing behind me. 

"Aidan! Hi. Justin said I've gotta be your friend instead of despising you. Strictly for the sake of the show." 

Should've told him you despise him. Nice going y/n!

"So, you've come to your senses then." Aidan chuckles at his own joke, which wasn't funny to begin with. 

"Let's go out." 

"Excuse me?" 

"Let's go out. You, me and Alex. Do something normal kids do." 

I am SO glad he meant that as a friend thing. No way in Hell with you get me on a date with Aidan Gallagher, even if it means dying. Pick another one of the millions of teenage girls in love you.

"Yeah. When?" I ask him. He looks up from his phone at me, smiling like an idiot.

"Alex says she'll meet us in the lobby. Let's go." 

"Can I put my shoes on first?" I ask quietly. Aidan looks down at my feet, which is just weird, and notices I'm standing in the hall wearing bed socks. 

Why the fuck are you looking at my feet dude! No one lies about not wearing shoes!

"Yeah, you're gonna want shoes." I walk back to my shared room and slammed the door behind me.

"What'd he say?" Justin asks, not looking up at me. He's reading yet another book, sprawling himself across his bed. 

"I'm going out, I don't know when we're coming back. Oh what the Hell did I just get myself into!" I pick up my shoes and start tying the laces together. I grab my phone from Justin's desk and stuff into my pant's pocket. 

"Bye n/n."

"Goodbye, Min. If I'm not back by eight thirty tonight it's because I killed myself." And with that last comment, I leave the room. Aidan's leaning against the wall, already having pushed the elevator button. the elevator doors open after about a minute and Genesis, Britne and Tom exit. I smile at Gen, entering the elevator with Aidan. We ride to the lobby in silence, the occasional text notification from Aidan's phone. 

He's got the loudest goddamn text-tone ever!

We exited the elevator, Aidan walking normally and me sprinting to find Alex, eager not to be alone with him.

"n/n! Did Aidan tell you where he's taking us?" I shook my head no at her. 

"We're going to the beach!" Alex squealed. I pulled her into a hug to shut her up. That's probably sounds really mean but Alex screams like a banshee. If the banshee was a nineteen year old girl. 

"Ready to go, Alex?" Aidan asks her and she nods yes, pulling away from me. She tucks a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear and I notice that's she's blushing. 

She likes him? That poor girl's gonna end up with a vegan smoothie in her hair. At least, that's what happened to me.

We all walked to the beach, which turned out to be a lake. Alex and I walked hand-in-hand the whole way while Aidan walked behind us. 

"I'm gonna try and hold is hand." Alex whisper-squealed at me. She admitted that she liked Aidan when I caught her blushing, and made me promise not to tell anyone, especially him. We arrived at our destination.

No fucking way am I swimming in Lake Ontario. EVER. 

Aidan sits down on the blanket he brought with him. Alex goes to sit next to him, definitely to try to hold his hand. I walk off, leaving them alone. I don't wanna third wheel, even if I'm supposed to be befriending the living nightmare known as Aidan Gallagher. After about half and hour, I turn around to head back to them. I get an Instagram notification.

I pulled open the post from Netflix, eager to see what it was. There was an image of me, Alex and Aidan walking to Lake Ontario, with a caption announcing my Netflix arrival.

Oh shit. 

I run back to Aidan and Alex, hoping that neither had seen the post. I know that they have, but you never know. I got there just in time to see Alex shouting at Aidan, in tears, before running away. Aidan just stood there looking confused. 

I might have gained Aidan as a friend, but I think I just lost one of my favorites. 

I'm so sorry, Alex.
