It didn't work. I'm on my way to the waterpark with Gael and Yesha. Mabagal akong lumangoy kaya hindi ako umabot sa liwanag. I went back home without talking to Saint, but Gael and Yesha were already at my front door. Plano pala nila akong i-surprise kagabi, pero nakaalis na ako nang makarating sila. They both cried when they saw me soaked and crying.
They both ran to hug me. Yesha cried with me while Gael didn't say much. Gusto kong sabihin ang nangyari, pero alam kong pipigilan lang nila ako sa pag-alis ko. I kept my mouth shut. They spent the night with me.
“Nyx, are you okay?” tanong ni Gael habang nagda-drive.
“Okay na ako,” I managed to say. “Salamat sa pag-aalala.”
“I know that you’re going through a tough time, but nothing can bring Saint back. Gusto mo bang ihanap ka namin ng therapist?”
Umiling ako. “Miss ko lang talaga siya kaya ko nagawa ’yon.”
They remained quiet for the rest of the trip. I received a few messages from Saint. Some were still from last night.
