Earlier today 5 people left to scavenge for supplies in the city, that includes Andrea which made Amy all frantic this morning. She's busied herself with chores around camp and talking to Dale. I think she's planning to fish?
Kinda bummed my dad never taught me to fish. I wasn't invited on their super fun city expedition but that's something to be happy about.
Three days ago now Daryl had left. He should be back today... well he should've. But it's fine he seems to know how to survive -and better than most people at camp.
It's best not to let your thoughts run wild. wait.
Is anyone else hearing a... a car alarm?
A man asks Dale if he can see what it is.
Shane says, "talk to me, Dale!" but he can't tell yet.
Amy ran to see "Is it them? Are they back?" Her voice uncertain as she tries to place the car.
"I'll be damned." Hmm looks like they made it.
"What is it?" She inquired.
"A stolen car is my guess."
The alarm continued blaring for a good second before a red Charger, presumably stolen, drove into camp. Now you could tell it was Glenn behind the wheel.
"Holy crap, turn that damn thing off!" Dale was probably getting irritated now. I mean it was warranted, who knew what that alarm would draw to us?
Glenn steps out of the car, grinning like an idiot, "I don't know how!" Uh oh. Shane starts yelling at him to "Pop the hood, please. Pop the damn hood please."
Amy starts spewing questions about her sister over the voices of Shane and Dale.
The alarm finally stops ringing after Shane, who seems to be the only one with a brain around here, pulls a plug somewhere in the hood.
"Yes! Yeah. Fine. Everybody is." He begins to tell the crowd that's formed. "Well, Merle not so much."
Glenn starts to get schooled by the adults. "Sorry. Got a cool car." Oh lord, he really is just a kid.
shortly after a much more stealthy truck parks itself behind the van. I hear the door sliding open and Andrea runs to embrace her sister. Morales's family reunites following the now tearful sisters.
I turn to my right and Lori is trying her best, literally on her knees as she consoles her son, the loss of his father still fresh on their minds.
Dale hugs Morales and apparently there's some new guy who's the reason they made it back from the city.
A brown haired man in a sheriff's uniform steps out of the truck with uncertainty. He paces towards the group, I didn't think his expression could get more bewildered but it did. The man was clearly at a loss for words now gesturing to someone. The man whispers an "oh my god" as Carl now runs into his arms.
"Dad! Dad!" The two of them are sent to the ground but the man then stands up, making a quick recovery still not letting go. He marches to meet Lori who immediately wraps her arms around the two of them.
Shane looked like he'd just seen a ghost and Lori, for some reason no less horrified. Something was going on here, and it couldn't be good.
________________
I called it a night upon hearing the thunder. October was already cold but the weather would only get rough from here so I'd have to get to bed early if I wanted to sleep at all.
To my relief and then to my horror, Merle Dixon had not returned with the group. It was mentioned that he was currently handcuffed to a rooftop... He might've been an ass but did he deserve that? Josef Fritzl sure did but he and Merle were nowhere near comparable.
But really, I'm more worried about Daryl than his older brother. The two of them were tighter than bark on a tree. Whether that benefited anyone was debatable but we all knew he wouldn't take the news well, and really who could blame him? Merle was still his brother and they seemed like the type to believe that 'blood runs thicker than water."
Now only time will tell, it's best to get some rest tonight.
