Lavanya and Anjali decided to take Khushi to a huge mall for some shopping. They all got into the car and drove to the city's most luxurious shopping center. As they entered, Khushi couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the grandeur of the place.
Anjali: "Khushi, we thought you might need some new dresses and nightwear. Let's start with the clothing stores."
Khushi (smiling politely): "Thank you, Anjaliji."
Lavanya: "Remember, it's Di, Khushi. We are like sisters now."
Khushi nodded, trying to relax as they entered a high-end boutique. Lavanya and Anjali started picking out various dresses for her to try on.
Lavanya: "What do you think of this one, Khushi? The color will look amazing on you!"
Khushi (hesitantly): "It's very beautiful, Lavanya. But isn't it a bit too expensive?"
Anjali: "Don't worry about the price, Khushi. We want you to feel comfortable and happy."
Khushi appreciated their efforts but couldn't shake off the feeling of being out of place. She tried on several dresses and nightwear, each more lavish than the last. Lavanya and Anjali were constantly trying to cheer her up and make her feel at ease.
Lavanya: "Look at this one, Khushi! It's perfect for you."
Khushi (cordially): "Yes, it's lovely. Thank you."
Anjali: "You don't seem too excited, Khushi. Is something bothering you?"
Khushi (smiling faintly): "No, it's just... everything feels so new and overwhelming. But I'm grateful for your kindness."
After buying her daily wear and few night dresses, they came out of the shopping centre. Despite their efforts, Khushi remained polite but distant, not fully opening up to them. As they were leaving the store, they passed by some street shops visible from the car window.
Khushi (hesitantly): "Um, Lavanya, di... can we check out those street shops? They look interesting."
Anjali: "Of course, Khushi! If it makes you happy, let's go."
They parked the car and walked towards the street shops. Khushi felt a strange sense of familiarity as they browsed through the colorful stalls. The simplicity and charm of the street market brought a small smile to her face.
Lavanya: "See anything you like, Khushi?"
Khushi (thoughtfully): "It's not about liking... it just feels... familiar."
The trio wandered through the market, enjoying the sights and sounds. They stopped at a small stall selling jewelry and accessories, where Khushi picked out a delicate pair of earrings and a matching bracelet.
Lavanya: These are perfect, Khushi. You have great taste.
Khushi: Thanks, Lavanya. I really like them.
Anjali: All this shopping has made me hungry. Let’s find a place to eat.
As they continued exploring, they came across a chaat stall. Khushi's eyes lit up, and she couldn't resist the urge to try the street food.
Khushi: "Can we try some chaat? I don't remember much, but this feels like something I've enjoyed before."
Anjali: "Absolutely! Let's get some chaat."
They ordered various chaat items and enjoyed the flavors. Khushi felt a warmth in her heart, something about this experience resonated deeply with her. Though she was still cordial and reserved, the street shopping and chaat eating seemed to bring a subtle sense of happiness to her.
