11. Sweet Break

"How do u do this gummy!! Teach meee!!!" Frustrated 10 years old me looking at grandpa crocheting  new sweaters..
I was already wearing a white sweater dress with many colourful flowers in it , since it was winter

"Be patient and follow the pattern of my hands" gummy instructed, which obviously didn't work, cause I thought it was some kind of magical thing...it is!!! So hard!!

"Eh, follow the pattern" i mimicked her and standed up "I'm hungry already, I'll go eat something" I was nagging and now headed towards the kitchen

Currently,we were in grandpa's house which was pretty much 8 mile away from our house and dad drops me here in every summer and winter vacation...unlike tiara , she spends it with her friends and you know mom dad are always out for business, they practically vanish..

I found a cookie jar and wow! It had so many chocolate cookies 'i want them all'
I smiled at my statement, and took two of them and was heading to the balcony where gummy sat, the main door dinged'

"Who might come now" i said to myself

I peeked through the hole to see a very much taller woman totally dressed in black attire, (a black long dress with black hijab) and her face was also hidden

"Assalamu alaikum,Who are you mam!!!??" I asked
No answer
"Mam, who are you!!?" I never saw this woman here. She dressed like a Muslim woman , she must be good .. no judgement

"Walai kumussalam" she answered me to my salam
"I came to see Hafsa (gummy), open the door please" her voice was melodic and so beautiful.
I opened the door immediately, I don't know why but I did
She came in and was standing there for a while looking at me
And she took her mask of to reveal her beautiful face, she had light brown eyes,fair skin and a beautiful smile..i also smiled, of course I'm a good girl

"You are so beautiful, Mariana" now that I noticed she was 2 feet taller than me
And how did she know my name!

"Um, you know my name?" I didn't wanted to sound rude to her , please!!!

"Yuh, heard from Hafsa" she said still with that smile, she's so beautiful. Arabian
girls are always that pretty? Is she Arabian?

"Oh sorry, please sit" i softly gestured her to the couch and she took a sit "I'll call grandma"

She looks younger like 23 or 24 why's she calling gummy with her first name. I went to grandma
"A beautiful lady came to see you, don't ask me who cause I forgot to ask her name"
I told em all in one breath, accomplishmenttt!

"Oh ok baby, I'm coming.." she looked confused, and finally she standed and patted my back to guide towards the living room"let's go then"

Seeing Grandma she standed up and said "Assalamu alaikum, Hafsa"

Grandma looked shocked but happy, "W-walai kumussalam"

"Maru baby,go bring some sweets for her" gummy said

"No no no, thanks but--" the lady said hurriedly

"I'll not here a 'no' please bless me having something" gummy said smiling and pleading
"Maru baby go bring them"

"Okiieee"I nodded playfully and sprinted towards the kitchen

I faintly hear gummy calling her Yuhani. Yuhani, nice name...
Who this lady might be? Gotta ask gummy later, she can't hide anything from me
I remember tickling her to know the story how she met grandpa. Their love story is fantastic. I want a lover like grandpa. He loves her very much
