One of my earliest memories starts with me running around a tree in the yard of the housing estate where I used to live. I do not know if I just went outside or if I've been there for a while. What I do know is that after roughly 3.14159 rotations I became bored and went back inside.
Back inside I saw my mom tidying up the living room, where she had gotten a curious looking tall white box on a silver base out of one of the cabinets. She told me it was a Nintendo Gaming Console, an ex has left her after breaking up. She asked if I wanted to try it out.
We turned it on and my first contact with the Nintendo Wii has sprung. Wii Sports was the only game availible, so I tried that out. With rough beginnings, I eventually became proud how good I was at the boxing minigame.
At the time there was a show in television where the moderator meets kids with interesting or unusual hobbies. Sometimes I dreamed that he could come to visit us, and that I would be in television, for playing Wii Sports Boxing. I love how my young self thought.
Even though I had tried out Hello Kitty on the PlayStation 2, and some form of Kid's Gaming Console I barely remember, I consider this the moment Gaming came into my life. And Gaming is not only a hobby of mine, it is a part of me.
