Selenes POV
That same night
I make it home with a smile still on my face after Jordyn gave me her number. I'll admit I was a little jealous she was going to a club tonight looking that good but I had no right to because she was in a relationship and it wasnt with me.
I enter the apartment and I'm met with silence because Zarina is still at the hospital because of a last minute surgery. I find myself drinking her wine we only drink when we are bored. And that I am. 20 minutes later I'm on my 4th glass and I've emptied the bottle. Shit! I pull out my phone and graze over a contact I know I shouldn't call because it'll just lead to regret but fuck it. I'm drunk. Consequences only exist when you're sober.
I push the call button and it rings. Ugh answer! "Hello?" Jordyn answers. I cringe at hearing the background music. I forgot she's at the club.
"Oh uh hi." I slurr.
"Selene?" She questions. I love how she says my name. "Hold on I'm going outside?" She says and I hear her say 'I'll see you later' to someone.
"You don't have to leave her to talk to me." I say pouting.
"Hey Selene. What made you call soon?" She said I guess she didn't hear me.
"I was just sitting here...thinking of you. And I was hoping you could come here." I say definitely confidently.
"Selene are you drunk?" She asks and I can tell she's frowning.
I sigh. "Yes but that doesn't mean I'm not aware of what I'm saying or doing."
I hear her sigh. "Selene, you're saying that now because you are drunk. You wouldn't want me there if you were sober." She says.
I frown at her thinking I don't want hers is she blind or deaf or just fucking oblivious. "Look forget it. Im sorry I even called. Bye Jordyn." I say and immediately hang up not giving her the chance.
I walk into the kitchen to find more alcohol. The sound of the door stops me from pouring a shot of crown. The knocker grows impatient and knocks furiously. "Oh my fucking god! Can you stop!" I yell but my eyes go wide when I see who the knocker is. "Jordyn," I breathe out still very much drink. I have to be imagining her.
"Yeah. You hung up on me. That was rude." She says letting herself in and going to the kitchen. I walk behind her confused. She sniffs the cup I just poured crown in and scrunches up her nose. "So you drink a whole bottle of wine and then you switch to dark liquor. Do you hate yourself?" She says closing the bottle and putting it up.
"Um, no. Why are you here? How-how are you here?" I ask realizing it's not my imagination she's here.
She scoffs. "You sent me your location after hanging up. I had a feeling you didnt mean to but I still came just incase you needed me. And clearly I was right." She said and takes me to the bathroom of my room. "Get in." She points to the shower. I nod and immediately regret trusting her so blindly when cold water floods me cooling me and eliminating my drunkenness.
"Fuck, Jordyn!" I say.
"You need to sober up so we can talk." She says and then guides me out when I'm more coherent. She wraps a towel around me and sits me on the toilet seat. "Now why were you drinking like that?"
I shrugged. "I was bored. My best friend isn't here and we drink when we're bored. I never get this drunk because we share the bottle so I take only half most of the time.
She shakes her head. "Well I'm glad you called. You could've made yourself sick. Come on let's get you to bed. Can you strip yourself?" She asks and I nod. "Ok where's your advil?"
