In a dark cell, Lando met Oscar. Oscar seemed broken and began speaking, “I’m sorry, Lando, I ruined everything.” Lando replied with a stern tone, trying to reassure him, “Don’t worry, your father told me he would get you out.”
Lando’s words were enough to instill hope in Oscar’s heart, whose eyes widened with joy as he said in a trembling voice, “Really?!!!” Lando answered confidently, “Yes.”
Some time passed, and then Oscar’s father arrived. He dragged Oscar out by his hair violently. Oscar trembled with pain, while Lando seethed with anger at that moment. Oscar’s father addressed his son, saying, “It seems Lando is scared for you.” Then he laughed confidently and added, “Maybe you’ll go back to your old job.”
Oscar realized what his father meant and tried to wriggle free, but to no avail. His father continued, “Luckily for you, the men are late, but I promise, when they come, we will enjoy ourselves.” He pushed Oscar back into the cell and closed the door.
In the cell, Lando asked anxiously, “What’s happening? What’s going on? What does he mean?” But Oscar remained silent for a long time before he finally said quietly, “Don’t worry, he will pay for his lies.”
Lando had a meticulous plan he had prepared before coming, but it would take about a day to execute. Meanwhile, he tried to comfort Oscar and keep him calm. They talked for a long time, with Lando trying to learn all the details that might help them escape this predicament. He comforted Oscar, encouraging him to hold on to hope, saying, “We won’t let him win, we’ll get out of here, and he’ll pay for everything he’s done.”
The next day, they heard the laughter of a group of men approaching. Oscar woke up trembling, and Lando raised his head, waiting to see who would appear.
