Lando was the first to wake up, reeling from the events of the previous night, realizing the magnitude of his mistake.
Fearing to face Oscar again, he left the house quickly, with heavy breaths and eyes filled with regret, haunted by the image of Oscar, who might never forgive him.
Three hours later, Oscar finally woke up. He washed up, then headed to the living room to find it empty, while Carlos was engrossed in his phone.
With a mix of hunger and frustration, Oscar ended up preparing a simple breakfast for himself and Carlos, after Carlos made some idle threats towards Oscar, who had no other choice.
When finished, Oscar asked Carlos about Lando's whereabouts, but Carlos said he didn't know.
Days passed with Lando continuously avoiding Oscar, hiding behind walls of fear and remorse. Eventually, Lando decided to face the truth, but when he returned to the hideout, he was surprised by the emptiness and silence that enveloped the place.
No Oscar, no Carlos, just the old smell of fear.
As he left the house, several black cars suddenly surrounded him, and unknown men emerged, grabbing Lando violently and dragging him towards the cars, while their eyes scanned the house anxiously.
From the fragmented conversation, Lando deduced that these men were unaware of Carlos and Oscar's departure, and that they had come to capture all three to dismantle their gang.
One of the men, his face hidden behind a mask, advanced and threatened: "Where are the others?" Lando ignored the question, which angered the man who grabbed him by the hair and punched him in the stomach.
"Don't make me repeat myself," the man said, but Lando remained silent. Another man threw a harsh punch to Lando's face, causing blood to trickle from his lips, while his eyes remained filled with silence and defiance.
The first man grabbed Lando again, his face drenched in anger: "You won't tell us? We'll see how long you can endure." With a defiant spit, Lando responded, making the man even angrier.
"Take him away," the man ordered the rest of the group, looking at Lando with a gaze that promised impending revenge and torment.
Upon their arrival at the place, the men continued torturing Lando day and night without stopping, having to switch the men responsible for the torture every now and then to rest from exhaustion.
As for Lando, who endured all this without surrendering, the signs of the torture were evident on his face, and he remained unable to speak or move.
One night, the gang leader, whom Lando had not seen since his arrival, came to visit. He had been continuously tortured since his arrival.
It was Oscar's father in a wheelchair, accompanied by a man assisting him.
Oscar's father spoke in a hoarse voice, his body showing clear signs of burns, and Lando noticed that one of his legs was amputated.
"I'll bring you a gift tomorrow, it's on its way. I hope you like it," the man moved the wheelchair and headed out of the cell.
He ordered the men to stop torturing Lando for the night and to leave him until tomorrow, leaving Lando drowning in his questions.
