Layla

Alejandro had left in the middle of the night he said he has somewhere to be but he'll see me at school.

I sat on the front porch, waiting for Casey. We were going to go to school together, its been a while since we had.

And its perfect because I'm so nervous to attend. A part of me doesn't even want to go, I'm scared to face everyone, and to see,

Jason.

He doesn't— Nobody knows that Alejandro and I are an item. Once he finds out he's going to kill me... even worse leak the videos and pictures in his anger.

"I'm ready!! Can I drive?!" Casey asked locking the front door behind her.

"Yes! please do." I was in no condition to drive. I was too anxious.

"The daisy's are coming a long... Mom would be happy." She smiled at the house. "Maybe she'll visit." She chuckled.

"Yes now that the house isn't so full of negative energy." I joked.

Out of nowhere the car alarm across the street started to go off, making us jump. We stared at each other in silence before we started busting out laughing.

We got into the car and drove to school.

We finally made it to school, I let out a deep breath before exiting the car. To my surprise Casey rushed over to my side and grabbed me by the hand. "Don't give these people your time of day. They are nothing." She whispered.

The starring and whispers, still haven't died down yet.

"Layla!!!" Iris squealed and wrapped her arm around my free hand. "Hi Cas!"

"Heyy Iris, long time no see." She smiled.

A wave of relief washed over me as I had the two most important people in my life basically hugging me as I walked into the school.

We walked to my locker, relieved to see it untouched. I began to dial my combination.

"Hey." I recognized the voice before turning around.

I shut my locker and faced Jasmine, only to find Jason with his arm draped around her shoulder.

She doesn't need to be with him. Nobody does.

"What do you want?" Casey snapped, her tone fierce. She doesn't tolerate anyone's nonsense.

But she doesn't know Jason.

"Ah, the little sister. Long time, no see." He scanned Casey with a smirk, his gaze sliding over to me.

"You've really grown up nicely," he said, eyes lingering. He knows I hate when he looks at her.

"And you haven't," Casey shot back, earning a chuckle from Iris and me.

Jason's upper lip twitched—a sign he was annoyed. I stopped laughing, feeling the tension. "Where's Alejandro?" Jasmine asked, raising an eyebrow. "Did he finally get tired of you?"

"Hola chica!" Roxy had pushed past the both of them and pulled me into a hug, "Why the fuck is he here." She whispered into my ear.

"You're friends with the low lifers now?" Jasmine laughed. "God you are such a looser now."

"Excuse me puta?" Roxy snapped.
