When Leah met Alexia

Weekend off - Part One

Leahs PoV

After the game I met alexia's mother for the first time and my god to say I was nervous was an understatement.

"Hola Leah, it's lovely to meet the woman who makes my girl so happy"

"Hi Mrs putellas, it's lovely to meet you too but your daughter is the one making me happy" I smile at Lex.

"Call me Eli please, are you in Spain for how long?" She says in broken English

"Oh I have another two days before we fly back."

"Then you must come for dinner tomorrow"

"Okay yes I will thank you" I smile.

That's when I'm engulfed in a hug by alba.

"Miss me Leah" she giggles

"Always alba" I smile

"Okay okay that's enough let her breathe" I hear Lex say.

"Lex I need to go back to my team, I'll call you later"

"Okay baby, congrats again"

"Thank you but why don't we celebrate later" I whisper into lexs ear making her grip on me tighten. I smile as I run back to my awaiting team.

After spending more time on the pitch it's time to head back to the hotel. I exchange pleasantries with the girls before telling them of my plans tonight. Me and Kiera are sharing a room and she's happy that me and Lex have sorted things. She tells me on many occasions to keep trusting my heart and it will lead me to happiness. This makes me laugh as Kiera isn't one for soppiness or compliments. I mean I asked her after the euros if I played well. She beat around the bush until she said, do I think you progressed during the tournament...yes. But this is typical Kiera.

Lexs PoV

After Leah left me at the match my mother gave me the smile I had longed for. The seal of approval.

"I love her already my girl" she whispers as we hug.

"Thank you mama, I'll see you tomorrow for dinner" I smile.

"Of course" that's when I have to hug alba before I leave.

"See you tomorrow aswell"

"You will and I'm going to invite someone that I want you all to meet"

"Oh is my baby sister in a relationship I knew nothing about" I ask

"Maybe but it's still early and she hasn't made it known yet that's she's you know"

I nod. I pretend to zip my mouth and throw away the key.

As I great my team and we do our rounds we head back to the hotel we're staying at as a team. This I never understood I mean we're in Barca where I live, why couldn't I live at home but I get it team bonding.

Of course I smile at the reply I get off Leah but now I must dress to impress and find somewhere we can be alone.

Leah's PoV

By 6:15 I'm dressed and ready and to say I have butterflies is an understatement it's like I'm going on a first date all over again. As I head down to the reception to wait for my girl I bump into less.
