I woke up with my heart racing, drenched in cold water. I looked around in confusion, realizing my bed was soaked.

"What the..." I muttered.

"Gosh!" I heard Anne's voice from the corner of the room. "What the fuck is wrong with you? I thought you were unconscious."

I saw her standing there with a cup in her hand. "God... so you decided to water me like a plant?"

She smiled mischievously. "I still love you," she said, heading to the kitchen to make us some breakfast.

I sat up, my hands running through my wet hair as memories of the previous night flooded back. Theo's intense gaze, his demanding kiss, the rain pouring down around us. It had felt electric, raw, and consuming.

But I slipped again. I let him in when I should have kept my distance. I had promised myself I wouldn't let my feelings for him interfere with my life, yet here I was, tangled up in emotions I couldn't control.

From now on, I will resist the urge. I will try to resist being with Theo. I want him to feel what I felt – the uncertainty, the longing, the frustration. He needs to understand that he can't just control everything with a snap of his fingers.

"Hey," Anne called from the kitchen, breaking me out of my thoughts. "Coffee's ready!"

I sighed, dragging myself out of bed. "Thanks, Anne. You're a lifesaver, even if your methods are a bit extreme."

She laughed, setting a steaming mug on the table. "Just making sure you're awake and alive. You seemed pretty out of it when you got back last night."

"Yeah," I said, taking a sip of the coffee, and savoring the warmth. "Last night was... intense."

Anne raised an eyebrow, curious. "Him or Aaron? I'm already confused about the lore of the Rosie soap opera," she laughed.

"Both?" I scrunched my nose and looked down at the cup of coffee in my hands. "Well, long story short, Theo saw us working on the project at the café and got super jealous... then he kissed me." I put the mug on the counter and covered my face with both of my palms.

"Girl," she said, looking at me incredulously. "Is this the Rosie I know?? A love triangle, Rosie?"

"It's not a love triangle. I'm just friends with Aaron."

Anne shook her head, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Uh-huh, sure. Just friends. And yet, Theo got jealous enough to kiss you."

I groaned, peeking at her through my fingers. "It's complicated, okay? Theo is my professor, and it's messy and... I don't know how to handle it."

She leaned against the counter, crossing her arms. "Well, you better figure it out, Rosie. You don't want to get hurt or hurt someone else. Plus, you've got to think about your studies and your future."

"I know," I sighed. "It's just... Theo is so intense, and I can't seem to resist him. But I know I need to keep my distance."

Anne nodded, her expression turning serious. "You're right. Focus on what's important. If Theo can't understand that, then he's not worth the trouble. And if he really cares about you, he'll respect your boundaries."

"Yeah," I agreed, feeling a bit more resolute. "I need to set boundaries and stick to them. No more slipping."

I entered the student lounge, the warm scent of coffee filling the air. With some time to kill before my history lecture started, I decided to grab a drink and relax. As I approached the coffee machine, I noticed Aaron standing there, making himself a cup.
