Summer was here! The Malfoy boys were excited.

The house that had one the most points this year, winning the House Cup, was Slytherin. Green banners hung all over the Dining hall, the house of the snake cheered and celebrated. They had earned the most points by completing tasks, finishing homework, answering questions correctly in class, and so on.

Finally everyone had gone home, the school was closed and the next two and a half months were full of happiness, family, and adventure. Though all students were prohibited from using magic outside of Hogwarts, some still used it in small ways at home, practicing spells or making an object float.

During this time, the Malfoys were getting ready to celebrate the boys joint birthday. Unbeknownst to everyone, the two did not share a birthday. Draco was born on June 5th whilst Harry was born July 31st. Though now that Harry had become Hercules, his birthday was the same day as his twin brothers, June 5th.

June 5th fell on a Sunday, so the parents moved the boys celebration to the next weekend, June 11th, a Saturday. The boys didn't want a large party this year, so the parents took them out to dinner, then to a play called 'The Caretaker', and gifting the boys with many wonderful presents.

Draco received charmed leather gloves, golden gobstones to play games with, and a new ring. Draco loved rings and accessories, his father gifted him many since he was a small child. His first ring he received when he was 5, it was small and now only fit around his pinky finger. Since then, the boy had started a collection. The new ring gifted was special, it was silver, larger size, and had an emerald embedded inside. It was magic, so with time, the size of the ring would change and adapt to match the wearers hand. It also gave the boy certain protection.

Hercules also received presents, he was gifted colour change ink, Exploding Snap - a wizarding card game, as well as a silver necklace. This necklace matched Draco's ring, it also had an emerald embedded inside.

"Now, boys," Lucius spoke as the two examined their new jewellery. "These two pieces are very special. You must wear them every day, never take them off."

"Why, father?" Draco asked, putting on the ring. Hercules looked at the necklace, studying it, before his mother took it out of his hands and placed it around his neck. He didn't really like accessories but this was a nice piece.

"This ring and that necklace are made of goblin silver. They are very special materials, hard to come by and very expensive. What makes them even more special are the stones inside, the emeralds. They are connected, enchanted. Once you put them on, you'll always be able to tell exactly where you both are, you'll be able to see and feel one another's location."

"So they are connected like our wands?"

"Not exactly," Narcissa explained, a small smile on her face. "Your wands are connected, but they only let you know if you are okay as you use them. The ring and necklace are more direct, they will alert you both of each others locations if the need may arise. You must wear them always, they are enchanted to keep you both safe, they provide extra protection. But most importantly, if something happens, your brother will be able to tell right away."

"So you must never take them off. Do you understand?" Lucius had a very serious expression.

"Yes, father," they both answered, and so their father gave them a smile in return.

"Good. Now, come. We must go, our reservation is in 10."

Some time passed. The brothers were sitting in the living room like usual, each one doing his own thing. Draco was reading his book whilst Hercules answered letters. "Who are you writing to?" Draco asked, raising an eyebrow. "You've been doing this for over an hour."
