Benjamin

It's been days since i met the princesses from royal families and royal ladies from noble families. And I no longer want to do that again in my life. Though, I have chosen a princess to be my queen in these few days. She is witty, cunning, charming, intelligent, ambitious and she is the princess of Novoria. Farah Karim. She is seen as elegant, perfection and noble. She has a younger brother and their father named him as his heir and successor to become the king, and not her as his eldest child.
At the moment, we are in the music room and talking to each other about our interests. Her brother, Arian Karim is her chaperone for this meeting. He is the definition of golden retriever, the laid back, and the observant one. He glances at me every second as I am speaking with his sister. Farah is quite the talker and I am fine with that, she has humor and so far, she is doing a good job at entertaining me. She is soon to be my bride and my queen.
The king's queen consort. There is something beneath her eyes and I can see that she is hiding something. A darkness that doesn't want to be unlocked yet. And she does it well. Though, I don't question it. I just need her to be present at any time as my queen and the queen for this kingdom that desperately needs it. This marriage is the only thing I can do to make my father proud. He is evil, selfish and a douchebag. He loves himself. He only wants the best for us to make him look better and for that, i despise him as his actions get worse everyday when he opens his mouth and does something. He can simply jump off a cliff.
Anyways, Farah seems like an elegant woman, and her wittines responses are always hilarious. I find them rather charming. She looks at me with her brown eyes. A smile on her face, maybe a fake one as she might be pretending to be happy in front of me.

'So, your highness, what may have been the reason you chose me as your future queen and bride?' That caught me off guard. I stare at her with an unexpected expression. My eyebrow twitches for a second but I give her a nod, knowing what I am going to say.

'Because you seem reliable, strict, ambitious, witty and intelligent. I believe you make a fine queen, princess.' I say, and the way her eyes change into a glimpse of softness and gentleness. The corner of her lips turns into a light smile. The corner of my eyes, I saw her younger brother flinch when I said, ''I believe you make a fine queen.'' I meant it. Her younger brother doesn't have the quality to make a great ruler but Farah does.

She is the embodiment of a powerful woman. I don't even think she needs a man by her side to rule. Farah chuckles at me.

'You flatter me, Benjamin,' she says. 'I can say the same thing for you. You will make a fine king.' That puts a smile on my face, and I turn my full attention to her.

'Thank you, princess. We both will make fine rulers for our kingdoms so they can reunite together as one.'

'I should be thanking you, your highness.' Farah says as she takes a sip of green tea and after that, she puts it back on the table where the desserts and drinks are. Arian coughs, as he is listening to us and both of our attention falls on Arian.

'Dear brother, is everything going well for you?' Farah asks her brother, there is a hint of taunting in her tone.

'No, everything is well, sister,' he pauses for a second as he takes a breath to say something else. 'I agree with you both. You guys will succeed as rulers, king and queen of the House Blackwood.' He grasps a sentence at last. Farah snickers, and I look towards her. Her eyes are full of anger and determination.
