The Prologue

The Prologue

The sounds of movement could be heard in the night, heavy breathing as an individual was seen jumping from roof to roof, wearing heavy like clothing that was tattered in different areas on the individuals person with dry blood that was seen close to his chest and few on his arms and legs.

"Damn it...I knew I shouldn't have taken this kind of stuff, I've already given my benefactor a headache when I told him about a universe just to pass time....I DIDN'T MEAN FOR IT TO BR THIS CRAZY!!"

He said out loud as he could make out the sounds of rapid footsteps coming his way.

He panicked as he dives down to avoid the many projectiles that were close to piercing his back.

He could feel the wind hitting his face as he was free falling but at the last second, he brought out a weapon with a hook like edge that tied with a thick tight like rope at the end of it.

His momentum was slowed down just enough for him to catch a breath but that was all it took for him to dodge what looked to be sharp knives that came his way.

"OH COME ON! AT LEAST LET ME CATCH MY BREATH YOU SICK TWISTED FUCKS!!!"

He screamed out loud as landed on solid ground and started sprinting but even if that was the case, the multiple projectiles that hit vital points on his body, it rendered him unable to even move as his body hit the ground.

He could only groan as blood leaked from his open wounds as he could hear footsteps coming his way.

'Ah...guess this is it...man this universe is wack, I only wanted to try treasure hunting but I didn't know it could get this brutal'

He finished that thought as his eyes traveled towards the object that he rightfully stole...it was a simply golden amulet with a unique design, he simply stared into it as his eyes reflected on its surface...and all he could was laugh.

"If I had the chance...I wouldn't mind just...not knowing anything about the multiverse....and just be... normal....Ha! Talk about wishful thinking after the shit I've been through" he said quietly as he finally saw the many silhouettes that hovered over him.

And all he could was smirk.

"Just get it over with, You fuckers"

With that the sound of flesh being heard as the sound of a young man's scream along with pained laughter echoed the gloomy night.

It took about 3 hours for the young man to be seen leaning near a wall with the amulet in his bloody hands as his eyes traveled towards the many corpses infront of him.

His eyes felt heavy as the loss of blood and being unable to even move a limb made him let out a sigh...and finally closes his eyes.

But...what he didn't know was that the amulet that was within his hand, suddenly glowed as his blood seeped through the lines within the amulet and his body faded into the night sky.

The sounds of wind could be heard as someone's eyes opened and widened in shock and panic at how high he was, unable to do anything and feeling like he's about to die once more.

But then a sudden glow appeared around him and then hard a thump along with a grunt was heard as this person landed roughly.

"What the hell?"

As he finished that, he got up and stared ahead....with a wide look on his face.

".... I'm...in Paris?"

He said as he stared at the far away Eiffel Tower.
