Miraculous with a Side of Kai

Chapter 3

Meanwhile at Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, inside a bedroom with a young girl was seen sleeping as her mind went over the time where she was saved by a young man but unfortunately that was interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing.

"Marinette! Your alarm's been going off for fifteen minutes! You're going to be late for your first day back at school!"

All Marinette could was let out a groan as sh turned off her alarm from her phone as she crawl out from underneath bed covers, "Got it, Mom!"

She said as she was busy getting ready.

That was time was where we see Kai entering the bakery as the sound of bell being heard, caught the attention of Tom who looked over and he couldn't help but have wide smile.

"Kai! So good to see you Son!"

He said as he walked over to Kai who couldn't help but smile.

"Good to see you Mr.Dup AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

Before he could finish that sentence, he got a sudden hug from Tom that was really tight.

"Cccccaaaan't bbbreaaaa"

That was all he could say which alerted Tom that he released the poor boy.

"Sorry about that, I tend not to hold back when involves friendly hugs" Tom said as Kai was seen taking deep breaths but nevertheless smiled at the large muscular man.

"And I didn't mind...even though it was quite a surprise" he said which got Tom to laugh but it was silent when they both heard the grumbling sounds of Kai's stomach.

"Well why don't I get you some breakfast while you take a seat" as Tom said that, Kai insisted that he would pay for his breakfast but Tom refused and said it was on the House which got the boy to let out a sigh but accepted either way as he took a seat near the window to look at the moving cars passing by.

It didn't take long for Tom to placed what looks to be a well balanced breakfast which got Kai to wonder how quickly the Bakery could make it so fast as he took a sip of coffee he brought wiel enjoying the breakfast as Tom went back to work which piqued Kai's curiosity.

Meanwhile as Marinette was fully clothed in the clothes for school, her headed downstairs with a sigh that escaped her lips, "I bet you anything Chloé will be in my class again."

"Four years in a row, is that possible?" Sabine said.

"Definitely. Lucky me!" Marinette said with fake excitement.

"Oh, don't say that! It's the start of a new year - I'm sure everything will be just fine!" Sabine said to Marinette, who smiles and nods, setting down the cereal. Several things are knocked over, spilling and falling to the floor. Marinette groans but Sabine simply placed the reassuring hand on her daughters shoulder which she smiled.

As the Mother-Daughter Duo finished their breakfast, they headed to where Tom was...and were surprised to see someone their helping him with the treats.

"Oh my! It's good to see you here Kai" as Sabine said with a sweet smile on her face, Kai could only smile and was about say something but it stuck in his throat as he looked over to Marinette who was also staring at the boy with a faint blush on her face.

This got the Tom an Sabine to look at the two teens.

"It seems you both know each other?" The one who said this was Tom as he finally finished up and placed the delicacies on the counter with Kai coughing a bit.

"Uh well, we haven't talked yet since it was a month ago since I saw her and I guess I finally got to see her again, Hi...My name's Tamushi Kai but just call me Kai" he said with a smile as he held out his hand for Marinette to shake which she did with a bit of a clumsy motion but Kai didn't mind.

"M-My Name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, N-nice to meet you too" she said it quietly but Kai heard every word as his smile still remained.

"Nice to officially know the name of someone so pretty" as he said that, the blush that was faint on the girls face got red as she could only sputter words that felt foreign to Kai.

The parents saw the scene with chuckles that they tried to hide.

It only took a minutes for Marinette to calm down as She watched how her Father showed her the treats thate her happily smile.

"Dad, these are so awesome!" She said with her Dad smiling.

"Glad you like them." Tom said with him patting Kai on the shoulder, "But you should thank Kai here for helping me as well" Tom said with Kai saying all he did was place the treats in the oven which Tom replied that it was still a big help.

"You should probably accept it, Dad can be really persuasive when he needs to" she said to Kai with the boy could only let out a sigh as Marinette said that her class will love them and saying he's the best"

"We're the best, thanks to your amazing designs." Tom says as Marinette hugs Tom, dropping the box with Kai catching it in time.

"Don't wanna drop these" he said as gives them to Marinette but then he looks over the time and freaked out a bit.

"Um question, which school do you go?" As Kai asked that, Marinette said she goes to Collège Françoise Dupont, as he heard that, he grabs the girl by the hand which catches her by surprise.

" Then we better hurry! See ya later you too,I'll be getting your Daughter to school since that's where I'll be heading as well"

That's all he said as he and Marinette headed out with the girl being a blushing mess.

While on the street both teens could only stop as the traffic's lights stopped them from crossing over.

"Um...c-could you let go?" She asked Kai which got the boy to see he was still holding her hand which he let go and apologise which she said it was fine but then she looked over and sees an elderly man crossing the street as a car was coming, without thinking she pushed the box to Kai which caught him by surprised as he sees Marinette grabbing the Elderly man by his hand and takes him to the other side of the street just in time to avoid getting hit by the car.

"Thank you, miss." The elderly man says which she smiled.

Kai approaches them as he held out his hand for Marinette to grab it.

"Are the two of you alright?" Kai asked with Marinette says she's ok with the Elderly man says he was ok.

"Um here, I hope this helps" Marinette says as she gives the elderly man one of the macarons, which he Gladly accepted and eats with a satisfying sound that he enjoyed it.

But then the sound of the School bell rings which alerted the two teens, "Oh no, we're gonna be late! Ah, have a nice day, sir!" Marinette says as she ran ahead of Kai, who took a few seconds to catch up to her while giving a slight look at the elderly man and continued on.

The elderly man however simply look at a box that was in his hand with a smile, "Thank you very much, young lady." He said as walked towards the Bakery.
