writing little kirumi makes me so happy

Kirumi let out a yawn, eyes on the brink of closing as she continued to go through her pile of paperwork. She glanced between the pile she had left and the clock, what time was it anyway?... The clocks hands seemed like a blur to her anyway so there was sadly no hope in knowing how long she had been stuck doing her duties in the library for.

What was even worse was the fact that all day she had been switching between headspaces, the amount of times the maid had been dangerously close to fully regressing was frightening. Alas, all she could do was suck it up for now. There would probably be plenty of time to regress when she finishes her work anyway.

But she was so tired...

As she rubbed her eyes with her hand in fists, she had almost not noticed the creak of the door. "Who'sit?..." Kirumi muttered, resting her face in her hands, leaning on the desk she had recently been doing work on. The moment the mystery person spoke, Kirumi had instantly fell deep into her little headspace despite big Kirumi's protests in her mind. 

"It's me, Kaede." The voice spoke, walking up to the little and playing with her short hair. "I came up to check on you since it's getting pretty late, and judging by your current state, I think it's time you go to bed, huh?" 

The regressor, too caught up in her own tiredness, softly nodded as she let Kaede slowly drag her up and lead her to her room.

"There, all tucked in now you ready to sleep now, Rumi?" The pianist asked, giving the little a pat on the head, to which she received a giggle from the latter in return. Kaede waited a few seconds, waiting for a response, but got nothing. Chalking it up to Kirumi being ready to sleep, she turned around to leave, only for her shirt to get tugged by the maid along with a whine.

"Oh? What's the matter?" The blonde asked, face filled with concern as she gazed at the little's pleading eyes. "Stay." Is all that Kirumi said, lips in a pout. 'Ah, so that's what it was' Kaede thought in relief as she smiled at the still upset little, "Of course I can stay little one! Would you like to cuddle?" She asked once more, letting out a chuckle as the maid quickly nodded.

Wasting no time, Kaede climbed into Kirumi's bed, the little almost instantly clinging to her, as they both rested in bed in peaceful silence. "Sweet dreams, Kirumi." She whispered, playing with the latter's hair as the maid murmured a "g'night".

The two then spent the rest of the night cuddled up against each other, Kaede whispering affirming words to Kirumi as they both slowly but surely drifted into a deep sleep.  Kirumi, smiling to herself, dreaming about Kaede braiding her hair in a garden.
