The flight from the off shores of the Valyrian peninsula to Westeros, King's Landing, shouldn't have been such a long one but you were dreading it. With the size of your dragon you should have been in King's Landing in no time, yet you were taking it slow, your great - uncle Jaekar's dragon Jaerax, a much smaller and slower dragon, was much ahead of you and Aegarax, the largest dragon the known world has ever seen, especially after the days of Old, large in size, silver in colour with piercing red eyes, a beauty but a terrifying sight if you were to come eye to eye with him, he was named after the God of all creatures that walk, run, swim, or fly and creator of the first dragon.

After a while, you started seeing the shores of the continent that lay west to your homeland. Upon landing in a field next to King's Landing, because of Aegarax's size, you weren't able to land inside the city walls, you were met by a couple of king's guard and a dozen sheep to feed the dragons.

Taking seat in a carriage of the royal family, with all your stuff that you were able to bring aflight your dragon, and Jaekar to whom you haven't spoken a word since the day you had agreed on such a pointless mission, in your humble opinion.

The carriage ride to The Red Keep was an interesting one. Looking through the little window you managed to see parts of the city, it wasn't what you expected or how it was back home. Back home, the dragons and hatchlings could have been able to see outside the house's walls, enjoying the warmth of the south, yet here it was not the same, apart from not a dragon insight, there were children running around, dirt everywhere, it did not seem as if the people lived in great conditions. Upon noticing, your great - uncle had announced that the dragons that belonged to the royal family were staying in the Dragonpit, a cavernous building sitting atop the Hill of Rhaenys, and that the dragons that did not have riders most likely were on Dragonstone. All of this made you frown, remembering that dragons need warmth, volcanoes and such, frequent flights without their riders, hunting and not being locked away in the dungeons to thrive. It made you think about you own dragon's faith in this city but that was for later.

Upon arriving to the castle, you were greeted by a man called Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, a stange man, you thought, though, he seemed welcoming. Although, it was time for you to put High Valyrian aside and speak the tongue that Jaekar once thought you, the common tongue of Westeros.

He introduced a few women that were supposed to help you with unpacking and feeling welcomed in your new home. And so they did exactly that. You did not want to bombared them with questions and scare them away, instead you opted for an occasional word of commaned to where you wished your belonging be put. When the unpacking of your gowns and riding clothes had started, the maids looked at you with a confused look, which caught your attention. Upon explaining it was obvious that the Valyrian fashion was not common in these lands. Your everyday gowns were simple in design, light and flowy, with an occasional thicker fabric gown with gold details, your riding clothes, on the other hand, represented your Valyrian descent.

After awhile, your uncle paid you a visit. "We are expected at the Great Hall in half an hour and later for dinner with the whole of the royal family." You just nodded and you uncle left soon after, letting you dress for the evening to come.

After a careful choosing of the dress with the maids, you were dressed in a beautiful gown in a rich purple colour, the dress was embellished with gold and silver details, thruthfully, a dress representing your family's colours, with the silver representing your dragon.

Arriving to the door of the Great Hall, your uncle Jaekar and yourself were introduced. "Jaekar of House Belaerys and his great - niece Daelora of House Belaerys." Upon hearing the guards' word, all the people turned their heads, carefully eyeing both of you from top to bottom and the chattering began. They were aware they were to meet the betrothed of Prince Aemond Targaryen, the second - born son of the King. But what they did not know was the name of her house, and house Belaerys did not seem a familiar name to a common lord of Westeros.

After the public introduction, you two made your way to the back of the room, where the King sat upon a throne made out of swords, a sight to see but quite a ridiculious one. The throne was big in size and asymmetrical.

Nonetheless, you bowed to the King, and he stepped off the throne to come and greet you personally, upon reflecting this all seemed quite ridiculous, this whole room full of people and a King atop his thrones, you were trying to hold in your laughter.

He introduced his family, who were standing at the foot of the throne, his eldest daughter Rhaenyra, the heir, her current uncle-husband, and their children, everyone except the princess' children with her first husband possesed the Valyrian features. Moving to the other side, he introduced his wife and queen Alicent, the daughter of the man who had greeted you at the entrance of the castle, she seemed to have been wearing colour green and as seven-pointed star necklace, a star that Jaekar had told you about, the star of these people's faith, next was the turn of their shared children, the half-siblings of his oldest daughter, in all honesty, none of the Queen's children seemed to be interested in you or anything that was going on the room around them. The King first introduced his eldest son Aegon, than his sister-wife Helaena, a sweet girl you thought, and lastly his second-youngest son (he said that the youngest had left to stay with his mothers' family) Aemond, your betrothed, he was a tall and slender man, with an eye patch for a left eye, which intrigued you.

After the formal introduction to the royal family and the lords and ladies staying at court of King Viserys, you had some time given to spend in the gardens with your betrothed. When you arrived at the gardens, he was already there, waiting with two cups of wine, you greeted him but not how your uncle had told you to. "Greet him as 'Your Prince'." You just scoffed at your uncle. Instead of listening to Jaekar you greeted Aemond as "Aemond." and that was it. Such a greeting drew out a scoff and furrowed eyebrows from the one-eyed prince, which made you very proud inside, nonetheless, you came here to a job that was needed of you, not to kiss the arses of the royal family, especially you husband-to-be.

"I am your Prince and you are to address me as such." he spat out. "I do not have a king or a prince that rules over me, so, no, I will not address you as my prince, especially, if you haven't earned the honour." you flashed him a fake smile. Filled with anger, the prince turned around. "I would recommend to turn back around to me, because it seems as if the whole of this castle is watching our every move, and we do not want to upset them, do we?" You said mockingly. He turned around. "That would be a bit strange if we were to get in to a disagreement, even before our wedding, my betrothed." All he did was just glance at you.

You two walked around the gardens in silence for a bit before Aemond broke the silence. "I could have your tongue or better your head for disobeying your Prince." he spat out all of a sudden. "Is that so?" you said. He furrowed his eyebrows again. "Than that would be a great shame that I would not be able to marry such gentleman." you added. "I've w-" he began but was cut off by the guard of the prince, who had come to announce that the two betrothed are expected at the dinner.

Arrival to dinner was a strange one... Aemond had pulled your chair back so you could sit between him and his brother, your uncle sitting to the right of Prince Aegon. The dinner began with the kings speech, showing gratitude to you and your family for allowing such a union, between the only two dragonlord families. All the senior members of the family had given toasts themselves.

The dinner went mostly well, despite some strange atmosphere between Queen Alicent's and Princess Rhaenyra's sides of the family, which intrigued you a great deal. It was something to ask you assigned maids about.

After dinner, you came back to your chamber, changing into your night gown, a light fabric, slightly see-through one, great for the place you're from but not where you are. You shivered from the chill but sat down on the chair next to the fire and read a book, after a while you stood up and walked to the window, looking at the city you rode through earlier today. Later, you decided to walk around your chamber, exploring you stumbled across a secret door.
